There has never been a candidate in the history the United States who has had even a fraction of what has been spent against Trump by his own party on negative ads. If you include the superpacks; it is an astounding amount. 100s of millions of dollars have already been spent on negative ads. I doubt whether even you will dispute this, yet you claim, “the negative ads on Trump haven’t even started yet.” Your moral compass is messed up. Did you have a bad childhood with alcoholic parents? Here is a seminal difference that you just don’t understand.
You call Cruz names, belittle his family, etc. and I simply have no visceral reaction to that. He’s not my buddy, I don’t know him personally, I have no great personal investment in him being perfect. My reaction is limited to wondering how FR got to the point of demonizing one of the few conservative standard bearers in the Senate.
On the other hand I criticize Trump’s handling of the NC law or point out that he has a money problem going into the general, and you react as if I’ve slapped your child.
Trump has thus far been unable to convince the Republican Party that he’s the best choice, regardless of your personal fervor. He is the most likely nominee, but he has tremendous structural issues going into the general election. Should he win the general election, he has very little track record to indicate that he will champion conservative values (as he failed to do regarding NC).
Attacking me, my parents, or Ted Cruz’s dog, doesn’t change any of that. Stop treating Trump as a deity and hold him to a consistent set of standards. Like all men, you will find that he fails at meeting them from time to time.
I am sorry I did not mean to attack Cruz or you. I am just trying to understand what explains your behavior here. You said, “the negative ads on Trump haven’t even started yet.” The amount of negative advertising that has been spent against Trump has been unprecedented. Cruz has an excuse for his behavior. Both of his parents are alcoholics. His dad abandoned the family during his early formative years. Ted is an adult child of alcoholics and has well documented difficulties with alcohol himself. This is a psychological syndrome.
For those who have experience working, befriending or living with, or just being around Adult Children of Alcoholics all of Ted’s behaviors are very familiar. Here is a list of typical traits, not all of them are negative and not all of them are present in everyone:

2. Have difficulty following a project from beginning to end
3. Lie when it would be just as easy to tell the truth
4. Judge themselves without mercy
5. Have difficulty having fun
6. Take themselves very seriously
7. Have difficulty with intimate relationships
8. Overreact to changes over which they have no control
9. Constantly seek approval and affirmation
10. Usually feel that they are different from other people
11. Are either super responsible or super irresponsible—there’s no middle ground
12. Are extremely loyal, even in the face of evidence that the loyalty is undeserved
13. Are impulsive. They tend to lock themselves into a course of action without giving serious consideration to alternative behaviors or possible consequences. This impulsively leads to confusion, self-loathing and loss of control over their environment. In addition, they spend an excessive amount of energy cleaning up the mess.

I asked about your background because to me you seem like a very awkward individual. Your posts are erratic and have little relationship to the current discussion in many cases. You seem to have no concern whether what you claim has any basis in reality. It seems possible that like Ted you have had difficulties with alcohol yourself.
I apologize that you will no doubt perceive my observation of yours and Ted’s behavior as some sort of attack. It actually is not meant that way. I am still very hopeful that we can start working together to win the upcoming general election. But you currently are not acting or posting in a rational way. You seem completely incapable of accepting reality. I feel that at this point someone should point it out to you and you should seek some form of assistance.
