Private polls reveal a Trump-Cruz Indiana dogfight

No state in the coming weeks of the Republican presidential contest is viewed by the campaigns as more consequential than Indiana — and none has been a bigger black hole for polling, where not a single public survey of the state’s electorate has been released.

But that doesn’t mean there haven’t been polls, especially with a heated Republican Senate primary in Indiana. Their findings just haven’t been revealed. Until now. ------------------------------

One survey, completed on April 12, had Ted Cruz and Donald Trump in a statistical tie: 32 percent to 32 percent, with John Kasich, governor of neighboring Ohio, a distant third, with 14 percent.

A second survey also had Trump and Cruz tied, but that was a change from three weeks earlier, when Cruz had led outside the margin of error.

A third survey, from last week, had Trump ahead of Cruz, outside the margin of error.

Why would they want to vote for a loser who can’t turn out crowds or win at the ballot box? But can only run as a spoiler?

Cruz has lost. Why is Indiana so much more important than, say, California?

Why is Indiana more important than Connecticutt, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island?

Is it because that is the only state Cruz has a chance to win in the next two weeks?

The social war is over for the most part. It is like the War Between the States. We lost.

Trump, Cruz, Clinton, or Obama has my blessing to raise taxes on the hedge fund guys and the movie industry which has major tax advantages at a personal level.

Indiana apportions delegates winner take all
At the district and state level. A close race, even if it were to go Cruz, doesn’t stop Trumps March to 1237. There is a pretty big state bonus in IN, winner of the overall state does get 30 of the states 57 delegates, but even that won’t keep Trump from 1237 should it happen

Indiana is a critical, critical, critical, critical turning point state, the most critical turning point state since Wisconsin.

(Cruz might have a chance to win there, so it’s more important than NY and the five state primaries this coming Tuesday.)

Of all the anti Cruz comments this was the funniest and most creative. Nice one.

Not all Hoosiers are as ignorant about things as your average Cruz supporter who will believe anything.

Cruz is a big states’ rights guy. He has said he’s for states’ rights on gay marriage. 19 states allow transgendered people to pick their bathroom, and bills have been introducedin 22 more. I can only assume that Cruz, being such a huge supporter of states’ rights, also supports those states which allow transgendered people to chose their bathroom.

Therefore, by the same logic Cruz supporters have used to attack Trump, Cruz also is for “allowing grown men to pee next to little girls.”

I think Trumps brave position on allowing grown men to pee next to little girls will really help him in Hoosier country.

I doubt little Suzy will see too much since women's restrooms have stalls with doors and there is currently no way to prevent grown men from peeing next stall to little Suzy now. Non-issue.

Media trying to pimp another narrative. Just like the super secret Bush internal polls from South Carolina.

God knows why. Cruz is eliminated from contention.

Ah, but since Trump is the only candidate with a mathematical shot at winning on the first ballot, then wouldn’t Cruz no longer be a spoiler? Would he not be a contender on a second ballot which Trump has to win enough delegates to stop.

What about women’s locker rooms. You have no problem with a man who claims to be a woman walking around naked in front of your daughter, wife, sister, etc.

It will since Cruz and his supporters misrepresented it and have been caught.

Everybody keeps forgetting that this also applies to women’s locker rooms. A man who claims to be a woman has every “right” to use the women’s locker room. He then has every “right” to walk around the locker room without any clothes on, as is common practice in locker rooms. Would it not be “discrimination” to make him put his clothes on when he claims he’s a woman. After all, woman walk around nude in the locker room all the time.

Here is a quote from an article where Beck asked Cruz about this:

““Beck asked Cruz how he’d argue that his position isn’t aimed at targeting transgender people but rather at “the heterosexual pervert” who would try to flout gender-specific bathroom laws.””

So either Cruz is ok with legit transgenders “peeing next to little girls” or he only wants to target the perverts, which is no different than what Trump said!

I think the Cruz fans need to ask for some clarification before screaming at Trump.

If Trump is a few delegates short on the first ballot wtf would a bunch of hosers decide to vote for the big loser on a second ballot?

The second ballot if any should be about the constipated Kasich and cruz delegates finally being able to get behind the peoples’ choice,
