Personally I think a move to the center is welcomed by the establishment at this point in time. It would be even more welcome if he were already an establishment guy.

The Republican base is more pro abortion than any of us want to admit. Clearly, more favor exceptions for abortion in cases of rape incest, life of mom than the die hards who are ignored anyway once the nomination is secured.

Look, the platform issue is what they give die hards as a dace saving bone. It is what you do for one issue voter blocks that you want to keep in the fold but ignore when in power.
