Anyone who has paid a visit to the Whole Foods flagship store in Austin, knows the location is the gem in the pricey grocery chains organic crown. As one reviewer once put it: The 80,000-square-foot market, bar, eatery, makeup counter and pick-up joint (we suspect) makes our local branches look like the neighborhood 7-11.
But one visitor to the Austin location says he was not so enthusiastic about a recent trip. An openly gay pastor in the city where Whole Foods was founded has filed a lawsuit against the chain, claiming it sold him a cake that read Love Wins F-g.
But commenters on social media wondered why the pastor didnt immediately notice the anti-gay slur, accusing him of altering the cake, as did Whole Foods, which countersued, claiming that the pastor made fraudulent accusations.
In a video posted last week, Jordan Brown of Austins Church of Open Doors said he ordered a cake from Whole Foods meant to read Love Wins a slogan associated with the movement to legalize same-sex marriage. But when he picked up the cake April 14, it had a quite different message, he said.
When I got into my vehicle, I looked inside and saw they had wrote Love Wins F-g on it, Brown said, holding a receipt he said was from the cake. You can see it nice and clear. Also, it is still in a sealed box. As you see, I have not opened up this box yet.
So he carries the box from the bakery section never once looking into it. Takes it to the cashier then leaves the store. Only when he was in his car did he look. You carry something from one department to pay and while walking you didn’t bother to glance down? Not even once?
This was plan "B".
LOL
LOL literally haha!
Took me a few seconds but then HAHAHA!!
... not seeing it. What is it?
"Message: I care."
Does the line “Under Neat That” make any sense?
The bar code was probably sealed to the box. It look like it was in one piece so I am wondering if he obtained another barcode at another store along with another box. I am not sure what information can be pulled from the barcode but perhaps the date and time that it was created? The original barcode that was attached to the box should have a record attached to it somewhere.
I’m thinking the verbiage was taken down over the phone and written verbatim.
When the woman was placing the order for the cake over the phone I believe she said happy birthday Suzanne and then underneath that we will miss you.
The absurdity of this is frightening. This ‘pastor’ has been so brainwashed, that he actually thinks this is plausible.
Not a hoax. Hoaxes are generally harmless pranks with a humorous intent. This is attempted extortion.
Perhaps the gayest city in the nation. During my visits to Austin (I have family there), I always go to Whole Foods to shop, and see the oddest assortment of gay freaks outside. There's a mini-mall shopping strip across the street and there are lesbians with clipboards pushing abortion and gay rights petitions. I always make it a point to yell at them. Looks much like Berkeley.
Phony cake, fake pastor.
Not as good as this one, though:
Sexual degenerates have degenerate minds ... they lie out of habit because of whom is their father.
Predator, pedophiloid fraud. This guy should be put in prison.
There is a reason why these types of homosexuals hate guns. It is because they are less concerned with having to defend their homosexuality than they are with being able to force it on a disarmed society, npmuch like drug and pimp cartels work.
It is no wonder that now homophobia is considered a seditious act against government but by homosexuality proxy.
