I was just reading an article showing some of the inconsistencies Cruz has in his stated background. Among them, his father has a fake name and birthday. Another is Cruz may not even be a Canadian citizen, as he was already a Cuban one because of his father and Canada does not accept dual citizenships. Has anyone else heard these things?

I’m still getting over my shock at seeing a poster with the letters `Tex’ in his name asking intelligent, critical questions and not completely in the tank for Senor Cruz, Int’l Hombre de Mysterioso.

Yeah, Cruz is a `Monet’: looks good from a distance, until you get close up.

Makes sense, actually. He's born in Canada. Check. At the time, his mother is Amerian, his father is Cuban, check. So - what is he?

Canadian, I'd suppose, in virtue of being born there. Unless Canada has birth laws that require parental citizenship, in which case he's not a Canadian, because Canada didn't allow dual citizenship.

In which case, which parent does Canada pick to assign him a country - mother or father? American or Cuban? How can he be natural born, if he's born out of the US with a Cuban father, and two other countries have claims on his citizenship status?
