It's depressing to see both of those names in this same sentence

One interpretation could be;

This was a home state victory ... nothing more

Cruz couldn't get a majority in his home state. If it's a "nothing more", what does that say about Cruz?

It was a home state victory that Cruz could not match in Texas (43% for Cruz in TX and 60% for Trump in NY). And Trump got 48 delegates in TX compared to Cruz getting 0 in NY.
