The Real Reason Why Mexico Hates Donald Trump
Forbes ^ | 04/19/16 | Kenneth Rapoza

n a worse case scenario for Mexico’s government, which will never go for such a policy, a Trump government that bans remittances from undocumented people could trip up remittances from immigrants that are here legally, making their families back home collateral damage in Trump’s fight against foreigners without visas.

How Trump tracks down those payments is unknown. But what is known is that those payments are the rise.

The AP reported remittance payments to Mexico rising nearly 5% in 2015, an all-time high and more than oil firm Pemex’s contribution to state revenue.

Amazing…

Maybe he tracks them using the method the AP is using?

“Mexico’s government, which will never go for such a policy”
They won’t have any choice.

“a Trump government that bans remittances from undocumented people could trip up remittances from immigrants that are here legally”
It’s all just a part of this rich tapestry we call life.

Taxing remittances are not the only way to get Mexico to pay. Taxing trade into the United States from Mexico does the same.

Mexico receives $45B more than the USA. They will gladly give up 10% of that to retain the other $40B.

But other methods aside, the author is short a few insights about American retirees and travelers into Mexico.

American credit cards work just fine in Mexico and they can be used seamlessly to withdraw pesos from ATMs there.

So the author is blowing smoke and trying to come up with an angle against Trump’s plan. But reality sets his angle crashing to the ground.

The real reason I hate Mexico is that it’s a $hit hole full of leeches that’s been attached to America’s a$$ for far too many years. And give me a break, La Raza! They refer to themselves as The Race! They aren’t a race, they are the result of some White Spaniards who showed up unannounced a couple of celturies ago and started screwing the local indigioneous population. Hell, dogs do that and they aren’t called purebreds!

Trump shouldn’t stop the remittances, rather, put a 40% withholding tax on them.

If the person is legal, s/he should be able to settle with the IRS as we all do and did by yesterday.

If s/he couldn’t, they will not file and they just lost the money to the treasury and THE WALL!

It’s like a sales tax that you pay for items people buy. The only thing is that this tax IS refundable.

Problem solved.

Trump should have known that before he talked about it. There’s still ample time to revise his policy.

Everyone needs to remember the government of Mexico is not a friend of the US. They are for the almighty Yankee dollar.
We give through the yahoo, and they want and receive more.

It is also known that the drug cartels launder money this way too by sending money to Mexico. That is the biggest secret of all.

A tax on imports is a tax on the American consumer, not on Mexico or anyone else.

If you waltz into the bank to open an account, they require all sorts of identification, including a social security number.

You can either require the same for wire remittances or charge a fee to help cover some of the costs of having illegal aliens in the country.

It ain't rocket science. If Americans choose to stay "in the shadows" to avoid our banking system, it shouldn't be an undue hardship for illegal aliens either.

I’m pretty sure that Trump was only going to put a tax in remittances, which would have been deducted from the remittances. That was how the wall would be financed.

Since the government of Mexico is complicit in this abuse of America, there is no reason that remittances from legal immigrants shouldn’t be taxed as well.
