Where does Ted Cruz stand on abortion, immigration and gay marriage? [Barf Alert]

(snip)

What does Ted Cruz stand for in politics?

Here's a quick look at where Cruz stands on some of the key issues:

Common Core: End it

Obamacare: Repeal it

Immigration: Opposes efforts to allow authorized immigrants legally remain in the Untied States. He supports increased security along the country's southern border with Mexico.

Gay marriage: He opposes gay marriage and says marriage is between one man and one woman. He thinks states that weren't specifically listed in the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that legalized same-sex marriage should oppose the high court's ruling. He says individual states should be define marriage for themselves.

Abortion: Strictly opposes abortions and opposes any federal funding going to Planned Parenthood.

Your linked article is to a Trump ad.

According to many here, anything from the mouth of Mr. Trump is true. Should I not believe them?

People who have been here for years, been hard workers, have good jobs, supporting a family, very , very tough to say ‘you just have to leave, gotta get out’, how do you throw somebody out that’s lived in this country for 20 years. Can’t throw everyone out.

Donald J. Trump - 2012

RE: “Material Cooperation with Evil”

In which case you’re going to have a hard time finding that special someone who meets your stringent criteria in government or even in business.

I pay my taxes, which I don;t want going to many of what the government funds ( regardless of local, state or federal ), yet my money funds a lot of things I consider “evil”.

I have a choice — go to jail ( or have my property confiscated ), or continue to pay my taxes ( many of which go to fund evil ).

Agree with what you listed. I’d also add his “end Common Core” is a bunch of useless tripe too since he missed the vote for Obama’s new education secretary, John King. King is perhaps one of the biggest proponents of CC in all the land with the exception of Bill Ayers himself. When the day came for his senate confirmation, Cruz was absent. How convenient.

Cruz is a sleaze and a liar.

Cruz is a sleaze and a liar.

One minor correction to your assertion.

Politicians are sleazes and liars (all of them). They are lower than prostitutes: at least with a prostitute there is typically truth in advertising.

>> typically commute to Northern Virginia to work <<

Then you need to move to NOVA — lower taxes, friendlier gun laws, and a shorter commute. What’s not to like?

All lies? Cruz was for a wall in 2012, while trump was still hiring illegal aliens and telling their supporters that he “got them”.

In what capacity did his wife work for Goldman? Answer — Wealth Manager. Is that a bad thing?

It is curious. Heidi Cruz’s training and high level government experience is in international trade. Seems that is too hot a potato for Goldman to let her work on.

The only place where Ted Cruz is not a conservative is in the minds of those who have taken over Free Republic and spew the Pro-Trump agit-prop,ruining what was once the premier website for Conservatives.

Friendlier gun laws: check.

Cost to get a decent piece of property...unless I choose to commute from Winchester or Fredericksburg, not so much.

Shorter commute: some of the worst traffic around is in NOVA. And, unlike the District and MD, there are so many cul-de-sacs, it's almost impossible to take the side roads to avoid the traffic...at least so far as I've seen in the past 14 years since AF retirement.

Taxes: Yes, they would be lower if I lived in Prince William County or farther out (I actually did a comparison several years ago...Arlington County and Fairfax County local taxes make up the difference between MD and VA state taxes pretty quickly).

Oh, and one other thing. Virginia now has Terry McAwful as governor...and NOVA is getting bluer by the minute...not to make a ridiculous claim that MD is better, but it's a whole lot more likely that another McAwful is elected than, say, a Cuccinelli.

Sadly, there are a lot of things that are the FReeper way that have been held in abeyance during this political cycle.

I picked who I wanted to in my state's primary........so now it's just a matter of sitting back and watching the rest of the show.

You must be referring to the owner of this site.

Face it - your candidate is a fraud. There are FReepers who have been here from the beginning who are spewing the agit-prop you have such a problem with. These people aren’t stupid and Cruz doesn’t pass their smell test.

>>It's been adequately documented here on FR that Cruz is totally in favor of illegal aliens<<

Absolute hog warsh. Whomever disputes Cruz's stance on illegal immigration is a hatchet man attempting to deceive others.

What he is in favor of?
>A wall, increased aerial surveillance, increased border patrol, E-verify to stop businesses from hiring illegals.

I've been here 10 years longer than you and watched FR laugh at Trump every time he threatened to run for President. THIS time Trump had the right "sales pitch". Cruz hasn't changed, just the propaganda that's "accepted" has.

I have noticed that ANY site that praises Trump is bowed to and ANY site that praises Cruz is maligned. That is known as having a closed mind and is no way to choose a President. This is not a high school popularity contest.

As for pinging Jim, grow up.

“Are you talking about the same Obama care that he stood up to his own party against?”

The tired old “Mr. Cruz Goes To Washington” meme.

http://humanevents.com/2013/10/30/thank-these-republicans-for-obamacare/

“By contrast, McConnell not only voted against Obamacare, but presided over a Senate minority in which every single Republican voted against Obamacare, even that idiot McCain. Kentucky only seems like a red state because McConnell keeps winning elections there: It went for Clinton twice and has had a solid run of Democratic governors since 1947, interrupted by one-term Republican governors only twice in 66 years.”

Of course it’s not really a brave stand when you know the enemy has the votes because you booted the Congress and WH.

It’s all show. Like Cruz.
