The Republican establishment would rather put Democrat Hillary Clinton in the White House than Republicans Donald Trump or Ted Cruz because it would keep them in charge of "their fiefdoms," talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said on Monday.
"The Republican establishment is prepared to vote for Hillary Clinton if it means holding onto their fiefdoms," Limbaugh said, adding, "The Republican Party is prepared, if Ted Cruz gets the nomination, to not care whether he wins or loses."
"In fact," Limbaugh said later, "if Ted Cruz is the nominee and loses the general, the party will be happy. Theyll be able to blame the loss on conservatives and conservatism and be done once and for all with conservatism in the party."
The GOP's "primary objective" is self-preservation, not winning the White House in this cycle," Limbaugh said. "Given the vagaries of this cycle, the Republican Party's primary objective is maintaining its own power structure and base for the current people that occupy it."
The dead giveaway, he said, is when some in the party openly say they will vote for Clinton over Trump.
"And some of them have even said that they'll vote for Hillary instead of Cruz," he said. "It means they dont think the countrys in crisis. They dont think anything of the sort."

If Trump wins, there may be no more liberals to complain about; thus, Rush/Levin/etc. would be out of a job. Hence, they may be voting for Hillary out of self-interest; Rush didn’t get famous during a Republican administration.
That’s not to say that Rush is an enemy: he has inspired a lot of people to vote for conservatives, and he has never defended the Hitlerbeast in any way (in public).
Of course they will.
Scratch the surface and she is one of them.
The good thing about the establishment votes is that most of them are concentrated in a few geographic areas.
Limbaugh the Cruzite,
Rush is so jealous of Donald it is beyond believe. You would think that being a billionaire would make Rush content, but he isn’t.
His jealousy has caused me to no longer listen to him.
If he had any manhood at all he would at least do as beck and levin have done, come out and publicly worship cruz and publicly hate Donald.
But alas, even if he did, I wouldn’t know it.
What if Trump wins 32 or more states has millions more votes, 400 plus more delegates than his #2 foe?
I think we pick Trump because the GOPe had a Jihad against the Tea Party that gave them the house and senate to begin with. The Gope let the IRS kill the Tea Party 501c funding, and still hasn’t in any way punished the IRS, or Lois Lerner.
I plan to vote against the inept, corrupt GOPe who funded Obamacare rather than us the power of the purse to kill it.
Its all about power and keeping it so they can line their pockets with special interest money. The only thing we can do is vote their useless asses out of office.
They won’t vote for Trump because he won’t sign bills that screw the American workers, like H1b increases, amnesty, TPP.
They won’t vote for Trump because they are State-ists, globalists, and crooks. Trump is a nationalist, America first, and no to pay for votes on bills.
Vote the GOPe bums out
That is an amazing video...Calls for a revolution....
It's not ridiculous. Rush surely would benefit from higher ratings with Hillary as President. If Trump or Cruz become president with a Republican Congress, the Levins and Limbaughs of the world won't have much material to use for 3 hours of radio.
Looks like the one party with two names are going to make this election like 1960.
Rush has knocked down this line of thinking on numerous occasions saying, among other things, that Democrats are really wacky when they're out of power giving him plenty of material.
This argument is typically made by people like Limbucks, GlennBeckoning, and Marx Levin around this time in the electoral cycle.
I want names. I want a specific fiefdom identified, and I want the names of the people who “run” it. Put it out there, alleged fiscal conservatives.
It can be done.

“The regulation and foyer agency Hogan Lovells, which boasts former Rep. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) on its $60,000-per-month Saudi Arabia contract, scored conferences with Sens. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), Richard Burr (R-N.C.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Dick Durbin (D-In poor health.) and Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), in addition to Reps. Ed Royce (R-Calif.) and Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), from September to February, along with quite a few telephone calls and emails with members and senior workers.”
Actually Limbaugh and Levine have lumped themselves in with the GOPe
He’s telling the truth. Hillary will be President.
Because they support Cruz. I suppose I am as well because I support Cruz.
This is such foolish thinking that you're automatically GOPe if you're not for Trump. Just because those assclowns don't like Trump and are trying to help Cruz to stop Trump (before they take the next step to stop Cruz) doesn't make Cruz supporters GOPe.
Cruz is in with the GOPe now even though his campaign and the Party are trying to make it look otherwise. Trump is the only non GOPe candidate in the race.
we are officially in bizzaro world.
Republicans voting for Hillary
Bernie voters voting for Trump
Cubs are in first place
Levin came out as #NeverTrump after his GOPe payola was uncovered.
As they say, follow the money. Limbaugh is orders of magnitude richer— has double the net worth of Romney— but some (just some) of his fortune is connected with the establishment. A lot of rich people have a lot to lose with a President who puts American interests above special interests. And these same people will then project that their personal interests are American interests. Conversely, you will find that, generally speaking, people who put American interests first are those with less to lose materially. I’ve always wondered how rich a person could get and still not be corrupted (blinded) by avarice. Perhaps it’s something that is only seen by that person at the end of his or her life.
