Consultant Cheri Jacobus Sues Donald Trump for Twitter Defamation
Breitbart.com ^ | 18 Apr 2016 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 04/19/2016 3:05:47 AM PDT by dennisw

TMZ reports that Jacobus is suing Trump for the February Tweet, even though Jacobus admits in her lawsuit that she did indeed ask the Trump campaign to pay her $19,000 per month to serve as communications director:

Really dumb @CheriJacobus. Begged my people for a job. Turned her down twice and she went hostile. Major loser, zero credibility!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 6, 2016

Jacobus is suing for “at least $2 million,” according to TMZ.

Jacobus’s requested price tag of $19,000 per month would have amounted to a salary of $228,000 per year. Jacobus was reportedly negotiating with Trump as late as June, 2015.

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is also cited in Jacobus’ lawsuit.

John Nolte reported in August on Jacobus’s assertion that Trump “does have low information voters supporting him just like Obama did. People like you [Nolte] are egging him on to grow it”:

We now have a second top Republican consultant who appears to believe that trashing voters is the way to win elections. Cheri Jacobus, a consultant and cable television pundit, ripped into yours truly on Twitter over my criticism of Gollum-In-Glasses Rick Wilson (which is fine — I enjoy infighting). What is not okay is Jacobus recklessly hurling demeaning insults at voters.

“They’re not the base and you know it,” Jacobus told Nolte, referring to Trump supporters. “You really think non low-info voters will overlook the disgusting stuff Trump says? You don’t.”

Are you a woman? Well I am,and I don’t see a problem with trump and women. If you want to be a woman, ask Bruce Jenner for advice. Trump would not kowtow to extortion, and this lady probably has been threatening for awhile . She needs to respect herself before asking others to.

Interesting that so many of the stories leave out the fact that she defamed him on national TV before he counterattacked.

“The complaint stems from comments Lewandowski and Trump made in late January and early February following Jacobus’ January 26 assertion on CNN that Trump, in interviews and debates, “comes off like a third grader faking his way through an oral report on current affairs.”

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/04/cheri-jacobus-trump-lewandowski-defamation-lawsuit-222103#ixzz46Gjzp77q

Now, Trump should have left it alone. He’s in the middle of a campaign and people on TV are going to say things he doesn’t like, and he needs to show he can be be the bigger person.

But she’s another woman trying to turn a minor incident, i.e., a few tweets, into a meme that big ol’ mean Trump doesn’t like women. Or her career is faltering and this is a chance to get her 15 minutes.

Not to mention, she was giving it right back on twitter, and she got very, very ugly, too, to a whole bunch of people. If the case proceeds, discovery will be very interesting.

Is that the best you can do? Off to the ovens with me eh. I don’t support your idol.

Donald said what he said. He’s said it many times about people who disagree with him. It’s what he does.

She sends out a tweet accusing Trump of lying about her begging for a job, but then acknowledges repeatedly asking for a job with a salary of $19,000 per month. Doesn’t that make her the liar, or am I missing something?

These wacky ladies are going to make it more difficult for women to get hired in the future

It makes her statements inconsistent. Trump said she begged him for a job, he interviewed her, turned her down, and then she went all over TV badmouthing him.

She says he begged her to take a job and she turned him down. Now she wants payment for the job she allegedly turned down.

His version of events makes more sense than hers.

Based on Trumps other blatantly false statements this will soon be a class action lawsuit.

Take a look at yourself. All supportive of what the NYT is dishing out to you.

If you can’t see where you went wrong, nobody can help you.

The country doesn’t want Cruz. If they did, he would be winning the votes of the people.

The only reason you agree with pap like this is hate.

Twitter defamation is not a damageable action.

Jacobus: "I wouldn't characterize what I did as "begging". That's why I'm suing for defamation."

Trump: "In my opinion, she was begging. She made an offer, which we rejected. And she reiterated her offer and continued to pursue us, even though we rejected it. In my mind, that's begging."

Judge: "Case dismissed."

Paying for a job. Even asking for a job. Is different then begging, but you know that.

Many thousands like Cruz. But what you’re saying is toe the Trump party line or you’ll be attacked and vilified.

Gee that sounds familiar doesn’t it.

She sure was. I actually followed her for awhile and unfollowed her because she peppered different people at random with insults and smug condescension.
Guess who she supports now? Do I have to say it? OK, I will. She is a rabid Cruz supporter now.

I think the Cruz shoes fit her personality better anyway.

Is this the best the Cruzers can come up with now? Since Lewandowski/Fields was a goose egg, a new meme needs to be brought to the fore. So this lady, not hired by the Trump campaign (after multiple job requests and interviews), goes on CNN and trashes him. He responds in kind and Trump hates women? Given her behavior on national TV, I would say that he made the right choice.

So - she didn't get down on her knees - she knew she wasn't dealing with Cruz - right?

I guess if you be a Cruz guy, then you hate it when you hear Rush saying (of the Left), "It's not the facts that count, but the seriousness of the charge".

Cat's-paws all over the place these days and they still claim to be "principles conservatives".
