Opposing Trump doesn’t make you pro-establishment.

I didn't say that. There's nothing wrong at all with just opposing Trump. Nor does it make you pro establishment.

What makes you pro establishment is sleeping with the establishment.

Really has nothing to do with Trump ... don't blame Ted's problems on Trump. He's failing quite well on his own. Without the establishment behind him, even his chance as scamming the nomination would have long passed.

But don't bring Trump into it. Cruz sided with the establishment of his own accord.

This weekend's sob story in the Wash Post about the guy getting threats (there were none) from Trump supporters ... this is just the new propaganda line after uneducated Trump supporters and whining Trump. Either your pushing it, or you bought it.

Be clear: Cruz is destroying himself, it's not those pesky Trump supporters.

Were Cruz a true conservative and I mean all the way down through his character, not just his stated positions ... he'd be president in 8 years. It's over for him now.

I didn't want this. I wanted Cruz to be good. Nothing would make me happier than being 100% wrong. I just don't think I am ... and it's hard to tell how many of his remaining supporters are sincere, but they are really really stretching the bounds of realistically claiming that Cruz has not sold out (or wasn't always sold out.)

Cruz will shortly be back in his senate seat contemplating his navel.
