"Neither Cruz nor Trump appear to be capable of winning the general election." Yet, out of those two, which one has defied all of the odds against him in this election season and still remained in a distant first place? Who is the one who no conventional means of negative advertising has worked against, and every time they think they have him beat, he comes back all the stronger? Who is the one who everyone said would never make it this far...and yet he has. My point being, out of the Cruz and Trump choice, I would choose the man who has defied every negative poll and odds against him and still succeeded so far. If I was a computer program taking all of these facts into consideration, and then examining the opponents trends (hillary) I would come to the conclusion that Trump is the only one who has the chance for defying all odds once again to achieve victory. PS: Yes, I do agree that both sides of us voters must come together at some point...but we will have to rally around Trump if we are to have any chance. If Cruz was in the exact same place Trump is now, roles reversed, then I'd be saying we better rally to Cruz...but the fact is that his support is far weaker and will continue to drop.

You are essentially saying that you support Trump because you believe he has a better chance of beating Hillary. I can understand that.

But the facts remain that Cruz runs several percentage points better than Trump against the opposition. Unfortunately, both are losing to Hillary and Sanders. The losing margin is less than Cruz than for Trump but both are losing.

I really do not have a favorite. I see somethings I like in both and I would not have any issues voting for either in the general. I wish more people felt that way.
