Outlier or Omen? Fox Poll Shows Donald Trump Widening Lead as John Kasich Surges
Breitbart ^ | Mike Flynn

Posted on 04/15/2016 6:03:09 PM PDT by Hojczyk

The latest Fox News poll shows Donald Trump opening an 18-point lead nationwide over second place Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% . It’s a big jump from three weeks ago, when Fox News showed Trump with a narrow 3-point lead over Cruz, 41-38.

Trump’s gain, according to the poll, is due more to a collapse of support for Cruz rather than a jump in support for the leader.

In this survey, Trump has the backing of 45 percent of Republicans nationwide. Three weeks ago, Trump’s support was 41 percent, a change that is within the poll’s margin of error. Cruz’s support, however, has apparently fallen from 38 percent in late March to just 27 percent today.

Support for John Kasich, meanwhile, has surged 8 points, rising from 17 to 25 percent support. Trump leads within every demographic group, while Cruz and Kasich are tied in all except evangelicals and “very conservative” voters.

Trump’s lead in this Fox poll is the largest he’s recorded in the poll since the middle of December, when he led a much more crowded field by 21 points. Interestingly, he had gained just 6 points of support since then, rising from 39 to 45 percent support. The fluidity in the campaign has been the result of voters moving from one challenger to another.

The gap is shrinking. That’s a trend.

OK. I see where you're coming from.

The more people get to know him the less they seem to like him

Hmmm.

FOXMegyn curiously now invested in bringing down Cruz, just by shutting up and laying off of TRUMP.

FOXMegyn viewers are such boobs.

But, credit Cruz for shooting his mouth off, and his foot with it.

Rail time for Cartel Cruz. TRUMP TRAIN is only beginning to pick up its fire and smelter and steam.

To heck with the delegates. The R Party is already done.

Cooked. Ashes.

GO TRUMP!

Two of my best friends were big Cruz supporters. One of them switched to Trump before voting in the Arizona primary. The other was over at my house cutting up firewood with me last weekend. We got into a very cordial conversation about the election. Electability, was not a concern of his. Likeability was not a concern of his. He thought Cruz would nominate the best Supreme Court justices. He had no idea that Heidi Cruz was employed by Goldman Sax and had globalist leanings. He didn’t realize that Trump’s delegates from Arizona were all Cruz operatives. He didn’t know much about the shenanigans that took place in Colorado. He didn’t understand what Cruz was talking about when he claimed to have just won 11 elections in a row. He still favors Cruz, but he was honest enough to admit that he was deeply concerned Cruz’s sincerity and honesty.

In this survey, Trump has the backing of 45 percent . . . Cruz’s support, however, has apparently fallen . . . to just 27 percent today . . . John Kasich . . . rising from 17 to 25 percent support.

This could be extremely bad.

If Trump doesn't get enough delegates for the nomination, a late Kasich surge could be used to argue that Kasich is the real choice of the people. Kasich is openly and consistently pro-Amnesty, not just pro-gay "marriage" but supports compelling bakers/photographers/florists to participate, expanded Obamacare against his legislature's wishes, and does not regret voting for the "assault weapons ban".

If we allow innuendo and personal attacks with no evidence to replace Cruz with Kasich, we deserve what we get. At best, either a Kasich win or a Kasich loss to Hillary will lead to a civil war (which I do NOT support). At worst, it will lead to a government that controls every aspect of our lives with an iron fist and has so much power that it cannot be resisted.

I sense (and of course it’s just a guess) the beginnings of the feeling that Trump is inevitable. I expect him to rise in the polls from this point forward, and expect further endorsements as people, as they always do, jump on the bandwagon.

I just saw Mitt Romney’s niece on FOX. She is a solid Trump delegate, and I believe was or is chair of the Michigan GOP. She made perfect sense, explaining that notwithstanding her uncle’s desires, she decided that it was very important that she stand firm for Trump and support him at the convention and in the general. Her decision in part is so that voters never get the feeling that they have been disenfranchised. Now that is a young lady with a head on her shoulders.

>>Lyin’ Ted sCruz not only voted for the Corker bill he was a cosponsor of the bill.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I keep wanting to think better of Cruz; then he comes out with crap like this innuendo that he somehow is the only one who opposes the Iran deal. Insulting the intelligence of all voters (who have any to insult). Cementing the brand DJT has laid on him.

Then there was: “bragging about his voterless victory in Colorado.”

It seems to me the LAST ARGUMENT he should make is that he’s the one that can beat Hillary.

I wouldn’t say that Trump destroyed Cruz. I’d say that Cruz destroyed Cruz. It because more and more obvious that he is a liar who says one thing but does another, and simply cannot be trusted. He is in love with himself, and willing to do anything to win. Cruz first, country last.

Plus, he is NOT a natural born citizen. And his wife has spent her whole life working for the Bushes and their ilk.

It also exposed how much help Cruz is getting from the Bush/Romney/Graham establishment and it’s turning people off.

Good example of TrumpLogic there. Conservatives are leaving Cruz for GOPe Kasich because Cruz is too establishment? What?

Here is a more logical reading of the poll results. Trump is not gaining much ground on anyone. Former Bush and Rubio supporters who were considering Cruz are heading Kasich's way.

Exactly as I predicted a few weeks ago, Kasich is doing Trump's bidding by pulling left and moderate voters to himself, denying Cruz the ability to reach 1237.

As a reward, if Trump gets the nomination you can expect him to name Kasich as VP.

The Lyin’ Ted thing is sinking in and many people are starting to be embarrassed to be associated with him.

He's really starting to be marginalized and made fun of.

One of the reporters I follow tweeted that a voter today asked him if he still supported a ban on dildos.

Referring, I suppose, to the time Cruz had to defend a state law prohibiting the sale of sex toys. I actually don't blame him for that... defending state law in the Courts was his job at the time.

Heheheh. I was going on a theme of phase change, solid to gas (sublimate), solid to liquid (melt), following your “liquified” word. Keeping on a chemistry theme, “combusTED” “exploTED” (yeah, that was a cheat).
