Headline is absolutely true. Americans DO fear that.

That’s why they end up voting for either Trump or Bernie, depending on their base political philosophy.

The GOP says Americans should quit whining. They should be happy to compete with an endless conga-line of foreign imports, HB1s, reckless chain immigration, and tens of millions of illegals.

The problem is that it’s the Democrat’s policies that are creating these problems.

There’s a reason that 80% of Wall Street campaign contributions go to Democrats.

Hundreds of thousands jobs! Many friends at Disney World locally. 20 year veterans. American workers can’t compete with low wage imports!

However, dead end crap jobs with guaranteed HIGH wages would be okay... ;-)

We need more socialism so rich politicians can rail against rich people exploiting the masses!

A "child prodigy" lands a "coveted" job and ends up bouncing around/job hopping in middle management in her late 20's/early 30's? and now works for $11 a hour?

If I had time to look, there is WAY more to this.

I read the article.

She lives in Pennsylvania and supports Saunders.

She’s an idiot. Deserves what she gets.

The rentier class has of late become extraordinarily adept at sucking the blood of the former middle class. The top 10% are doing better than ever and probably have trouble understanding what the complaint is. But too many state and local government limitations on entrepreneurship and job creation are wiping out small business formation - with the tacit approval of both political parties, who are primarily interested in keeping their big contributors financially healthy and free from upstart competitors.

The jobs are out there you just may have to expand your choices.

Both my daughters got four year degrees but neither are working in “their field”. They each had a couple of crap jobs but now both have office jobs paying $14 and hour to start with full benefits.

Their first pay raises will be this summer to $15 an hour.

Took 3 years of hunting and looking.

Not bad for NC.

they need to fear “dead-end jobs” less and less

now with $15+ “minimum wages” starting up, there are more and more layoffs (AND FAR LESS JOBS EVEN BEING CREATED OR OFFERED!)

the rest of us will support more and more of them... while they’re sitting on their butts at home ... unemployed

Lets see, D.C. lawyers in government concoct policies which flood the country with HB1s, endless reckless chain immigration, millions of illegals, lawless borders, all while creating trade laws where hundreds of thousands of American jobs and entire industries move to foreign countries...

And then they report Americans fear dead end jobs or no jobs?

Who are these people in D.C.? And when to they begin strafing us?

I bet everything I had on starting a business, and it paid off very well. That probably put me on the same income level as this prodigy. The difference is I then lived on a comfortable but in no way extravagant budget instead of living a life that matched my income. If my business had crashed from its peak, I would have been fine. I could have retired seven years after founding my company. I actually did retire three years ago. Citigroup is finances and investments; this “prodigy” should have known better.

I recently sold my house in San Francisco and am totally unable to rent here now, unless I spend that equity to do so. I was very excited when my boss said I could move away and work from home, I was not at all looking forward to looking for a job at 59 years old. I think my boss also realized at least here in the Bay Area with its rents its getting and will be more difficult to hire mid level workers.

So bernie is the answer, a 70 year old white guy who’s first job was working for the government at 40 years of age and has been a street agitator for the last 39 of his 40. Yeah I got my chips on him

She hasn’t recovered from the tech bubble burst?! I think the problem is her. I got laid off during that mess, found another job in tech, now I’m making twice as much and working half as hard (startups are a cult, don’t let anybody tell you otherwise).
