It is interesting that what they propose has already happened. On the first day of the Rodney King riots, the police were essentially told by the liberal government to stand down.
Rioters then left their neighborhoods and entered the adjacent Korean neighborhood, which they tried to trash. However, by the second day of the riots, any rioter who would have entered the Korean neighborhood would have been a dead rioter.
Very importantly, this is *not* because of anything the government would or would not have done. This was because the Koreans had the backbone to defend their homes and businesses from rioters.
So the question now becomes, “How many people will tolerate BLM rioters in their neighborhood?”
The BLM makes a serious miscalculation as well. They assume that police, under tight legal constraints, will be the only force opposing their riot, arson and looting.
But the ordinary citizenry are under far less constraints. They have no obligation to arrest rioters, looters, and the violent criminal. And they are unwilling to tolerate criminals, and the families of criminals, willing to inflict abuse on others.
Yes. Yes they do.
Our neighborhood unwelcoming committee has many fabulous prizes waiting for their arrival. Not that we expect many here in northern Idaho.
