They operate as private entities. Of course the super-delegates protect the party. That’s their role.

Are you aware that the Founders didn’t even trust the public to elect Senators? State legislatures selected Senators until the 17th Amendment was passed in 1913.
You want a bigger say in your government or in your party of choice? Get involved. Work yourself into a place of influence, along with like-minded voters. Change the rules from within — because all the outside caterwauling is just noise.
