Galileo was jailed for heresy when he spoke against the theory that the Earth was the center of the universe. Thankfully, the Catholic Church no longer calls for imprisoning scientists or politicians who question popular opinion — only some Social Justice Warriors still demand jailing heretics.
The Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) posted a video to YouTube on Thursday with Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy,’ discussing whether “climate deniers” and energy CEOs should be jailed like war criminals.
“We’ll see what happens, was it appropriate to jail the guys at Enron?” Nye asked. “Was it appropriate to jail people from the cigarette industry who insisted that this addictive product was not addictive?”
“For me, as a taxpayer and voter, the introduction of this extreme doubt about climate change is affecting my quality of life as a public citizen,” he continued. “So I can see where people are very concerned about this and are pursuing criminal investigations as well as in engaging in discussions like this.”
Apparently science is not a field for challenging accepted thought, but rather one that encourages indoctrination and jailing of all those who dissent.

He’s worse than a pansy. He’s an idiot too. The funny thing is, they could get me on their side by being against pollution. I get that. Nobody likes pollution. But this global warming thing is crap. They had to change the name to climate change because there isn’t warming.
There are a new billion people showing up every ten years. So its reasonable to say that we need to be more efficient about the way we dispose of stuff. And that’s why we need to worry about things that really matter. DDTs in our lakes, or radio active materials in rivers, or lead in drinking water. If we are worried about carbon dioxide we are taking away resources that can solve real problems.
Bill Nye isn’t helping. Comments like his,only harden the resolve of individuals to deny the science behind the study of this important issue. People can believe whatever they want. Just continue with scientifically studying this issue, report the facts.
While Nye was actually born in Washington DC we were stuck with him here in Washington State after he moved out here to work for Boeing. After that he started working as a writer/comedian on a local late night comedy show called Almost Live! That was his start in the entertainment industry and it has been down hill ever since.
He is an educated idiot that unfortunately fits perfectly in Seattle. I actually believe that he is a true believer. How anyone with any science background can stick with a theory that has proven to have no predictive value at all repeatedly for decades is beyond me. To me it demonstrates how the godless are always searching for something to make sense of their time here on earth.
The Global Warming Alarmists really are part of a fatalistic cult. They have lost the scientific observational battle, so now they have resorted to shouting down anyone who points this out.

I AM a physicist and true scientist in every shape of that word. Long lines of code of a far reaching estimation in a super computer that NEED “hockey sticking” fudged numbers is NOT science.
I have seen the data and the errors that have been intentionally used to create the climate of ‘warming’ being anthropologic.
It is BS and those who promulgate that false projection are either scientifically challenged at best. Most likely the proponents of this ‘grab’ for power and projection of ‘shame’ on the peoples of the planet is to keep us occupied with another ‘demon’ to fight.

It’s funny that everyone blames the Catholic Church for Galileo. It was Galileo’s peers that used the inquisition to get rid of him. A Pope or Cardinal gave him a life sentence of house arrest. His scientist peers wanted his death. It appears that not much has changed.
1. I won't restate it, but it's a fair point that many different values for atmospheric CO2 exist. The ones that you found are likely in error.
Most measurements put the atmospheric concentration of CO2 at 0.039%. This is the same as 0.00039 or 3.9 ten thousandths. (Not much, especially compared w oxygen and nitrogen). It's also the same as 390 ppm.
In the earth's long history, the CO2 concentration has been manifold this (and life persevered, somehow.)
2. How do they explain that climates always change/get wrmer first- then 800 years later or more, CO2 rises IF CO2 is the driver/cause of climate change?
This is one of the best questions that an inquiring mind might ask! Consider that the oceans are sinks for much of the global co2 burden; and, also that cold water stores more dissolved co2 than does warm water. If the earth went through a warming phase (think solar radiation here) then the oceans would slowly warm, but this ocean temp change would not be immediate. If the cooler ocean was at co2 capacity, then as solar radiation warmed it, co2 would be released to the air because the warmer water could no longer hold it. Yes, as you suggest, the increase in atmospheric CO2 would thus lag the increase in atmospheric temp.
3. Since it’s claimed that CO2 causes the earth to warm, why was there no warming for 20 years despite man producing more CO2?
Excellent q! Actually, how do we even know the relative contribution of man made [sic] carbon? Lots of natural sources such as volcanoes, livestock, termites, on and on.
In short, there is no legitimate way to ascribe cause and effect.
