At the end of the day, politics corrupts laws.
It is the person who is hired to prosecute who should do so with honor and not be concerned with the rest of it.

If she sails, what next? No controlling legal authority, right?

If she is not prosecuted, we are no longer a country of laws.

I would be more than pleased if charges are brought. As for prosecution, cross that bridge when you get there.

soundly defeated by Trump

The media-entertainment-propaganda apparatus was perfected in 2008 and 2012, and under ordinary circumstances no Republican (or Trump) will ever again defeat the chosen Democrat in a presidential election. There would have to be some unusual providential occurrence.

Thanks for the perspective, but I have a question with a different slant to it:

“Should HRC ever get a security clearance again?”

As POTUS, she would need one...even presidential candidates are briefed on secret matters, after the conventions.

But, she is a known security threat, who obviously cannot be trusted with secret information.

Denying her a clearance shouldn’t take a trial, should it? Isn’t it a matter of one brave soul rejecting her, at the administrative level? If this were to happen, even temporarily while the Clinton Crime syndicate did a work around, it would at least shine light on what she has done.

Hillary’s prison nickname is going to be “Spike”.

Thanks for your expert perspective, I believe she will never be convicted. The real question I have for you is:

"Henk, you're a lawyer?" "Say it ain't so!"

Please do not forget that the evidence which would be presented will be impossible for the judge, let alone the jurors to examine. Top Secret and above materials are very highly restricted in their access (need to know only), so any crime would be for mishandling information the value of which will be unknown to the jury.

Without knowing what the material was that was mishandled, the jury would be subject to a barrage of spin regarding the real value of the information and how it became classified in the first place. Someone with access to TS/SCI material is not going to be able to tell the jury what was mishandled.

I also don’t believe the sitting democrat president would indict his heir apparent. I posted this from the perspective of fhe problems the proesection would face it did happen.

While it’s fun to fantasize about the “coulda shoulda” scenarios, I have finally come to the conclusion that she will get a pass on this, like everything else, and that she will be the nominee and mostly the next president. Her husband’s multiple rapes and sexual assaults will also be ignored.

I only get depressed reading these endless wishful thinking posts and will try not to do so anymore.

Many thanks for your thoughts on this issue. Unfortunately I think you’re right. It’s an unfortunate situation, as a country, that we find ourselves in. We are no longer a country of laws but of men.

The governmnt has a dilemma. Do you file on all the crimes and overcomplicate the case or file on something simple, and after all the inveztigation the media says “that’s all you got?”

Justice is a commodity. You can have as much as you can afford.

Hitlary’s guilty and we all know it, getting her to trial is the biggest hurdle. And just think, we used to hang horse thieves. It’s amazing what money will buy you out of. Simply, there is no justice.

The only thing that matters now is what happens before Number 1:

She MUST be charged and indicted. Before the election. It will be a blow to her campaign and take the attention off of her opponent.

Yes, I’m a lawyer. Keep in mind that it’s only 99% of the lawyers that give the rest of us a bad name.

There has been. People are mad as hell and they are not going to take it any more.

I agree, they'd have to send in a large team from Justice to help any US Attorney because it would as you say be up against an army of lawyers from Big Law. As I recall, during the impeachment they got an army of lawyers even though they weren't paying them and only got "donors" to pay the bills years later.

I don't do criminal work. Where would a prosecution be brought? If it would be DC, you might as well save the resources and fuggetaboutit.

People are mad as hell

The media love Trump as a story, but they have no intention of actually letting him win the election. They will take Trump apart when the time comes. They want him to be the Republican nominee, so they are saving the heavy artillery for the general election campaign. Picture the debates between Hillary and Trump, in which there is the usual collusion between the Democrats and the media. Then factor in the intimidation and election fraud, which will be unprecedented.

Venue might depend on whether Hillary has co-conspirators indicted with her. If so, you could have venue in D. C. where the conspiracy was hatched. Or you could have venue in New York where the server was located. Which would be just as bad.

I doubt it will be in the Southern District of Indiana, and even less likely that I get selected as Juror #7.
