Trump is probably socially liberal. He does not ware his liberal side on his sleeve as some do. Meanwhile he promotes the US, was the first one to raise the immigration issues, wants more pro US trade deals to balance out those which are bad, he is not a lawyer, which is a good thing, and he wants to get things done.
So on one side we have a guy who is willing to talk and make win win deals verses one guy who is the equal of standing on a bridge, waiving his arms in the air, and saying I will not budge. I'd be in with the guy on the bridge if he followed that up with it is time for a new system of government but he will not. So being intransigent and adamant on issues is a loser, just like him.
Killing the mandates needs to be the first predicate; open markets across state lines the next day and see how the market shakes out.
I guess that'll be his justification when he reneges.
> There are plenty of jobs for those not to lazy to work.
You speak like a person who hasn’t looked for a job in decades and are totally detached from the Obama economy.
Let me guess... retiree? Pulling a government check to pay your bills?
“Donald Trump stood by his past support for single payer health care at the Republican presidential debate Thursday night, and even said he thought it worked well in Canada and could have worked in the past in the United States.
As far as single payer, it works in Canada, it works incredibly well in Scotland, it could have worked in a different age, which is the age you are talking about here, Trump stated.
In late 1990s and early 2000s, when he was first flirting with a presidential run as a member of the Reform Party, Trump advocated far to left on health care, even of of many in todays Democratic Party.
Speaking with Larry King Live in 1999, Trump said he was quite liberal when it came to health care.”
Yep, looks like Trump will be just one more “reach across the aisle” Republican type. I thought we were furious and done with so-called conservative Republicans like Boehner and McConnell, and apparently Trump, who think the democrats can be reasoned with, and we can come out of any negotiation with them as winners. No, as Rush says, we have to DEFEAT the dems.
GOP ISIS Cruz and his nonsensical attempt to take over the party from the NWO.
...”nonsensical”... so you’ve given up the fight and surrendered? At least Cruz is still in the fight.
ymmv
Which one(s) do you think were contradicted? I listened to it.
1999???
C’mon Beagle. He’s become a conservative since then.
Two questions:
1. What would you do for healthcare for the truly incapable?
2. Can you send me a link to Cruz’s detailed healthcare plan?
That will be everybody’s excuse, Agnes.
I don’t put much stock in any of them.
There are plenty of jobs. I can’t even get kids to do yard work for $10 an hour.
I’m glad he’s losing the nomination. If he won the liberals would have no opposition.
Show anything from Trump since before he was running for POTUS that wasn’t liberal on healthcare, or anything else for that matter?
He was a flaming liberal right up to the day he was running!
Funny, last time I put out an ad for a few hours of crappy, unpleasant work at $10/hour I got well over a hundred responses, most from adults, many of whom had children to support.
Either you live in the one place in America which isn’t suffering Great Depression conditions or you’re not looking too hard for help.
What would you do for healthcare for the truly incapable?
Southern MI, and I can’t kids to do pretty easy work for $10 a hour.
I’ve had three work for about 4 hrs and never come back.
I had one too stupid to do very much, I mean ‘stump stupid’!
It adds to the already established record of Lyin' Ted Cruz.
I know someone who makes the same complaint. He’s totally clueless that people flee from jobs he offers because he is incredibly unpleasant to deal with and blames it on other people not wanting to work.
Not saying the same is true in your case, but your stories are nearly identical.
There is a simpler and totally rational practical solution, and it doesn't slavishly stumble into the private system trap. There, the special interest crony criminal element is inescapable. And it must always fail, human nature being inescapable.
And it is defective regardless of whether it's public or private.
Educating ourselves is not that difficult.
Here, for example, is an excellent analysis of the basic conundrum; and its solution.
Welfare must never give birth to millionaire elected criminals.
I think we can all agree on that!
Welfare and Taxes, Where it Works and How
I have read previous versions of this observation, but I have never seen a rational, acceptable real world refutation.
Lol.. I guess he’s only up to that because it’s hard to be a,liar, when you change positions according to whichever way the nomination blows. Crony capitalist kingpin. Ugh.
