Apparently the other board members feel PHYLIS has flipped her lid and is no longer representing the mission the Eagle Forum represents, based on the Trump endorsement i understand their concerns, before any of you Trumpers get excited it could very well be that Phylis took it upon herself to endorse Trump without the consent of the rest of the members. Exactly. There are many unanswered questions about this. How many board members are there? Do the six constitute a quorum? Do they need 100% agreement to hold an unscheduled meeting and lastly, did Ted Cruz tell them to do this?

Phyllis has EVERY RIGHT to endorse a candidate. She did not make this an official Eagle Forum endorsement. National and state leaders of organizations do this all the time.

Don’t tax law rules require them to be an issues based advocate only and not endorse specific candidates? You and I probably realize that it was Phyllis herself that was endorsing Trump and not the Eagle Forum, but these days you can’t be too careful when dealing with the IRS.

An individual can personally endorse anyone; it isn’t a committee “thing”. Falwell endorsed Trump and he made it clear it was his endorsement and not Liberty’s.
Scholarly didn’t need the approval of the board to endorse Trump. She did it as a private citizen not as an Eagle Forum endorsement. Eagle Forum typical doesn’t endorse a person they provide information on critical issues.
The people trying to get rid of her happen to be very vocal Cruz supporters. Ted did not bother ask for her endorsement (his arrogance). Phyllis was extremely upset that trade and the borders seem to be of almost zero interest to Cruz

Cruz followers just love to twist facts. Schafly did not say the Heritage Foundation endorsed Trump. She put those members in no such spot.
Schafly personally endorsed Trump. ““I asked him to stand by the Republican platform because we have the best conservative platform we’ve ever had and he endorses it. He will stand by it. He is a real conservative and I ask you to support him.”
She is allowed to do that and NOT have her organization taken away from her.
