A 25-year old American woman has spent more than a month in jail in the United Arab Emirates for allegedly 'insulting' the state in public when two men approached her at the airport. The woman, who has not been named, is on trial at the Federal Supreme Court and has been charged with insulting the country and its leaders through verbal assault. On Monday she told the court she had been waiting for a taxi at the Abu Dhabi International Airport when two men approached her and spoke to her in a manner she did not like.

I have no sympathy for anyone who travels in the Islam world.
The road to Here has been plastered with warning signs, warning banners, warning invasions, warning riots, warning anarchy, warning this, warning that. The signs have been run down in the stampede toward liberal utopia.
Signs don’t accomplish anything anymore. Nobody bothers to comprehend them. They’re too busy tweeting and texting. Technological ADD has destroyed critical thinking, among other things, it seems.
The civilized world is going to hell in a hand basket, the hand basket’s on fire, and everyone is too busy taking selfies to think about where it’s headed.

It’s just worth the risk to go anywhere, outside Israel or Jordan, in the Middle East.
Had a female work associate telling me how she really wanted to visit Dubai recently. I gently educated her on what a bad idea that would be. I’ll have to share this article with her when I see her again.

It’s working quite well for me thanks. Been traveling globally and honestly, the USA is the scariest and most shady nation I’ve ever been to. I’ve walked streets of 3rd world nations at night and never felt unsafe.
You’d guess wrong. But I’ve never been to a predominantly Muslim country. And that’s what we’re talking about here.
The beauty of seeing the world is sometimes it confirms your predetermined biases and sometimes it blows the doors off what you think. I have been to muslim countries and it’s different however not totally what you may expect.
Not the Islam world, which is what he specifically said. Unless you are going to define what you mean by “crushing us”. They crush us in beheading and murdeing Christians, burning bibles, exploding things, terrorizing everyone around them, murdering each other, amd having lots of sand and incestuous pairings.
