If Trump is a few votes short on 1st ballot, all he has to do is call up his new VP.
There’s another possible VP that has quite a few delegates. The other one is conservative on a lot of issues.
After what happened in Michigan Saturday, I would like to believe there is something to this. While I wish Trump could be in a stronger position to pick a more ideological running mate, I can live with such a compromise. Who knows, maybe Trump can convince Kasich to come around to adopting a more enlightened view on some aspect of his policies. It is a stretch to expect Kasich to change is liberal leanings, yet all I have to do is remind myself to keep my eyes on the ultimate goal: Getting Trump nominated.
Lest we all forget what Reagan did in aligning with Bush. Seldom in life is everything perfect!!
