Oh yes, I’m quite sure it is my lack of understanding about the business that leads me to misunderstand the difference between a liar saying “I donated” rather than the TRUTHFUL statement “my company donated.”

ROTFLMFBO.

“That is a net loss in revenue and margins which the owners will feel and they will it on their ledger.”

Far less than you think. “They” in this case Doral (being the corporation that took the loss) can claim the donation, in the case of Doral, perhaps increasing their loss carried forward. It would NEVER appear on The Donalds taxes because it was not his money. Since it is a Corporation, not an LLC, it can’t be shown as a loss to him, because it was not a loss to him.

Unless you are suggesting that the owner of a company actually loses money and can deduct it from his taxes?

Something that is not yours should not be referred to as such, should it?

>> Trump doesn’t have the income he claims.....which is why he won’t release his tax returns <<

Occam’s razor can cut deeply.

>> Brag that “my corporations gave millions to charity.” <<

In other words, when Mr. Trump's corporations give to charity, the credit for that giving really belongs to him in a personal sense.

But when Mr. Trump puts one of his corporations "into the chapter," then the action is never morally or ethically equivalent to a personal bankruptcy.

Golly gosh! This New Trumpistical Logic is kinda neat, doncha think?

Well, to be fair I was responding to the irrational notion that someone who fails to identify the true source of something becomes suspect in the truthfulness area.

His failures in the Golf market are understandable. Many golf courses are closed and I can walk onto almost any course as a single at any time these days, like it was in the 80’s. The golf business is tough. But I agree with you, this irrational defense in the face of logic is what makes a “cult of personality” charge believable.

He’s now railing against the process under which he agreed to participate. Instead of properly organizing to take advantage of the system, as is his right, he is complaining that “they aren’t playing by the rules.” This inability to see failures is a serious drawback for a President. Ask Carter, Nixon or Obama.

I don’t understand the problem the article is trying to raise?

My guess is they're trying to make him sound like a bad guy since it's not coming from his personal bank account. It's just one guy's opinion, but it's probably close to the truth.

Dude:
If you are part of the ownership team or sole owner, whether C, S, LLC, whatever a loss of revenue and profits will result in less disbursements from the corporation...maybe....

I don’t care if the guy directed his corporations to donate and took a tax deduction, credit or write down.

I never personally accounted for the monies I donated to charitable ventures because it’s no one’s business and I don’t need a givernment incentive to do such.

However, I am in the middle of building another business and I am informed by friends, who have private jet money, why it makes sense to publicly donate and take the deductions as a matter of PR and availing myself of every opportunity to do good and reduce my tax burden(KcuF them and the word “obligation”)

If Trump claims $102 million in donations that could have been turned into revenue, with him pocketing some $4-$6 million then their is real loss there....

It’s semantics really, isn’t it?

BTW, I’m okay with your position, just asking...

“It’s semantics really, isn’t it? BTW, I’m okay with your position, just asking...”

No it’s not semantics. If I say I have donated something, I mean I did it, not that I directed my company to take it from huge pile of cash. If we scored a goal playing hockey I would never have said I scored it. Same with football. If I played baseball and managed to hit a rare HR, THEN I say I hit one.

It’s not semantics. It’s trying to make yourself something you aren’t. And I have a lot of friends who donate their own money, as I do, to charities and parties. I don’t like or trust anyone who fudges that. I’ll still vote for him if he manages to figure out the rest of the game, but I don’t like the way he “embellishes” things at times. I’m fed up with that shit, no matter who it is.

Yeah, I really feel up against it. So tired of holding my nose. Truth is, I’m not sure there is anyone anywhere on either side I would vote for, but I can’t stay home and let a $%&^*^& socialist into the WH. The one we’ve had is bad enough.

So THAT is why he is audited so much. They have to verify the “value” of what he claims he gave, no money, to what it was actually worth.

Also explains why the types of gifts were given. With the economy bad, less golf memberships, many less people taking vacations, and closing casinos. So are the working people who pay taxes actually paying for those gifts or is it just a numbers game?

I think you can take losses for 5 years on a business? The greatest golf course in the world lost money the last 3 years. Time to run for president!

Liz Mair and Ted Cruz can't pin Trump as a gay donor. Law Enforcement from Rhode Island will help Cruz with his zipper problem on aisle five.
