One of my good friends is a Colorado delegate. She is anything but GOPe. Tea party constitutional conservative all the way. If you want to play the game you have to know the rules. Trump can whine all he wants, but maybe he should have done his homework instead.
Post of the day!
In a state that is controlled by displaced Kalefornia Liberals, this kind of deal seems pretty much a clue whom they think Hillary can beat in the general. From the looks of the Michael Bennett, senatorial race, the Colorado GOPe was given the tools to fix this and found they would rather be the loyal minority.
USE IT!
How about winning the primary the fair and honest way instead of cutting voters out of the process. If Trump loses this way, he loses. If Cruz win this way thru this underhanded method, he lose all the Trump supporters and then he lose the general, so whats the point of winning the nominee
how will knowing the rule help Trump? What did he need to do? Shake hand and talk to people behind close doors and work out a deal? Is that what you mean by knowing the rule of the game?
Two thoughts.
First, this is a clue as to what Senate elections would look like if the 17th Amendment were repealed: yes, they would be in the Legislature, but the majority party’s establishment would decide to whom it wanted to give its support, and that person would for all practical purposes be the winner. Trump’s supporters in particular and conservatives in general should be grateful that the Senate isn’t elected this way, because then it would always reflect the party establishment.
Second, attempting to overthrow the establishment of an, well, established party is a daunting task, the equivalent of attempting to take over the senior management of a major corporation by obtaining the support of employees. Just as it is much easier to form one’s own business and get customers to come to your business rather than the competition, it might have been easier for Trump to have formed his own party, if he truly meant to run for President (unlike, say, Perot), and get voters to come to your party rather than the competition—that is the type of “business” that Trump would have a greater understanding of than the business of the insides of a political party.
I’m sickened by what has happened to U.S. Glad I don’t live there anymore.
Absolutely insane
We’re glad too.
You would never have heard from me that back room deals were brilliant. Shows me how little voters mean to the GOPe when they don’t even allow them to pretend to vote.
Interesting that so many Cruz supporters find this great. Somehow I foolishly thought conservatives supported a government that allowed We The People choice. Castro must be proud of how things are going here and how his native son once removed is an active part of stopping the people.
Certainly he should enroll at an accredited community college and take Political Science 101.
Yep.... that about sums it up
The ColoRINO GOPe made this change LAST YEAR. Was it after Trump announced?
Spent 21 years in the Navy, what say you?
Mr. Trump isn’t running for class president. He should have setup his nationwide delegate team months ago, not last week.
Thats how you wound up with Romney last time. You were okay with that, too, I presume?
You correctly point out that nothing “Illegal” happened. Do you remember that this candidate originally gained office by campaigning as being a Tea Party Member? The hypocrisy is laughable.
A true Conservative could never support the Colorado disenfranchisement of the voter. Yet, just like Sen Cruz's pivot away from anti-Amnesty, he isn't a true Conservative or an outsider. He is the GOPe.
CO is a caucus state.
to vote you have to go caucus.
