Are you sure that was Microsoft? You might want to do a lookup on that number. Sounds like a standard ransomware scam. If you used a card to pay, you might want to cancel it.
I had a call couple of days ago from "Microsoft" that my computer was being hacked....
I quit everything, did a disk defragment and ran Malwherebytes....
Took over an hour but reported no virus or other malwhere.
Today I was driving down the road, the only thing I could find was Glenn Beck.
Nothing is better than listening to Glenn Beck....so that's what I listened to.

Mothers?
If they murdered their baby, how does that make them a "mother"?
I got a call from "Windows" saying they had a report that I was having trouble with my computer network and wanted me to let them in, to "fix it".
I took a pen and tapped it against the mouthpiece and said; "Yes officer, this is the call I was telling you about" He hung up immediately.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
Excellent!
Thanks very much again.
I’m tardy replying to you because I had to locate the notes I made while speaking to the “online repair service.”
Given that I’m so damn depressed, overwhelmed and disorganized, why would I first look for those notes on the table directly in front of me, when I can tear through piles of other papers in various other places?
I’ll make my calls and go to my bank later this morning.
Tarpon are a noble gamefish, they fight hard and long. The only resemblance to slo Joe would be they are bottom feeders.
Microsoft will NEVER call you unless you have a business contract with them.
These people calling are scammers.
