Was reading another very troubling article on their website about China removing Crosses to extinguish Christianity, and I happened to see this one...Though there was a lot of information on Ted's faith, his dad, his immigration and tax plans, etc. The comment made by his roommate really is what drew my attention to the article...

“I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

In case the US did not get the message, Craig Mazin – now a scriptwriter added:

“Ted Cruz will become the thing you need him to be so that he wins an election. No principles, no moral centre, no values. Just ambition.”

This is a guy who lived with Cruz, and spent time with him. His comments about Cruz are far different than what I would have expected, which is something along the lines of "Well, Ted is a conservative Constitutionalist to the core, though I don't agree with him on politics, that is just who he is..."

Guy said Ted will be whoever and whatever he needs to be to win, and this concerns me...

Anyone ever that’s run for president has thought that or they wouldn’t run.

Ted is out of luck. The GOP designated loser this cycle will be John Kasich. Maybe it will be Ted’s turn to be designated loser in 2020.

If you had read the article or my comments instead of just the first sentence, you would understand that is not what troubles me...

With all due respect, you really need to learn to read farther before knee-jerk reaction posts....

paraphrasing a tagline on FR:

If God had wanted Ted Cruz to be President, he would have been born here

This is the exact opposite of the truth

Being Christian and conservative in America earns unrelenting hatred

That’s why it’s easier to hold New York values

“The masses truly are asses, the uneducated underclass.”

Did you mean the “poorly educated”?

I don’t care what troubles you.

I was commenting on the title of the article.

Oy. Why?

We already have one messiah in the White House.

We don’t need another.

Out of a country of hundreds of millions, Cruz, Trump, Kasich, Hillary and Sanders is what we’ve been given to vote on?

What, no one else wanted to be owned by whatever is controlling the country?

Nobody likes Cruz. The six million people that voted for him must be hypnotized or something.

and that smug attitude that unfortunately many visual Christian portrait will get him soundly defeated in Nov IF he connives with the establishment he said he was against at first...but proved to be someone that will lay down with anyone for self gratification...prostitution and policlinics are very similar

Local talkradio station host said he had a chance to meet him once back before this campaign. Introduced himself in a proper setting to do so, and said he got brushed off rudely. Got the impression that Cruz decided in a second that he wasn’t useful to him and that was it.
He said before that he thought he was a fan, and still maybe could be. But says he was left with a poor impression of him.

1) Everybody who went to college thought at least one of their roommates was an @$$#0!ₑ.

2) One has to be something of an @$$#0!ₑ oneself to still be going on about it 20 or 30 years later.

3) Jerks who do go public about their roommates 30 years back are likely to give the worst possible picture of those roommates, because they are jerks themselves.

It seems so obvious to me, I don’t know how others can’t see it.
