Huffington Post ^ | 3/25/2011 | Staff

Jennifer Hudson and some of her family members have been staying as Donald Trump’s guests at his new Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago since last month’s murder of her mother, brother and nephew, and are “very safe” there, the real estate mogul told People.

“She’s a great girl. And we’re protecting them well,” Trump told PEOPLE at a benefit honoring Australia director Baz Luhrman at the Museum of Modern Art Monday night. “They are very safe.”

The lone identified suspect in the killings was denied parole Monday in a hearing unrelated to the Hudson investigation. William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister, Julia, will remain in prison as the case proceeds.

This article is a bit dated, but it seems Trump goes out of his way to help people who really need it. There are hundreds of instances. It would be nice if the other candidates showed us what acts of kindness they performed recently since they claim to be so superior and so much more principled than Trump. They are a bit thin in that department.

This is similar to his support Miss Wisconsin and her son. I am not cynical about this great man. He is running on his money, His time , for his country. He has a great heart and he is a fierce fighter for this nation.

Honestly, I am getting so sick and tired of the Trump bashers. Trump has done so many kind things for others. And, have you noticed that it is always others who tell of his generosity? So much for Trummp having a huge ego.

More evidence he’s just a rasist
Has Hudson had the grace to speak out on his behalf?

There are a lot of these stories about Trump out there. As much as people bash him, there’s some real character there as revealed in a number of actions like this.

My favorite story is Trump stopping a beating on the streets of NYC. In the 80s a low life mugged a guy and then proceeded to beat him with a basedball bat. Trump got out of his Limo and told the guy to stop. The mugger dropped the bat and ran. I can’t think of a single rich guy who would put himself in danger like that for someone he didn’t know.

As far as I know Trump’s never repeated the story during the campaign. Trump’s just one of those guys who doesn’t parade his good acts for professional gain.

Yes, I’d seen the details on that one here too.

Someone needs to collect all this in one place. It has probably already been done. Anyone?

And he doesn't take these many acts of kindness of his tax returns! Neither does he seek public praise, nor announce his good works in public. What he is, is a GOOD CHRISTIAN!

The Trump bashers even go so far as to make BIG LIES about him and then post them as "facts".

If anyone has yet to vote on DOUGHTYONE'S Caucus thread, pl;ease do so NOW !

Someone on a Christian end-times forum I go to was talking about knowing someone in their small hometown in Georgia, whose farm Trump had saved from being lost to the bank or something like that.

Maybe Cruz will show us the “kindnesses” he favored certain women in DC with?
I'd take a classy, successful businessman, who provides "selfless kindnesses" without any fanfare, over a junkyard dog politician any day!

“Trump’s just one of those guys who doesn’t parade his good acts for professional gain.”

You gain the full measure of a man based on what he does when no one is watching. The GOPe “donors” could learn from watching how Donald Trump conducts himself

The shot of Trump standing back with Carson at that early debate when ALL of the others ran to the stage says all you need to say about Trump’s manners in social settings.

That’s breeding.

I read about this months ago. He has done a lot of nice things with no publicity. That is the way it should be done.

Even with some Trump supporters, there seems to be this idea that you have to preface everything about Trump with comments like he is rude, or has a big mouth, he’s not presidential enough. Honestly, he sounds like most people I know. An average American. I recently called out a guest in my home for such comments. They still managed to snark that he should do kind things because he is rich. This is going to take all of us standing up to these crybullies.
