I’m not sure what you mean by “inter-racial” issues; employers certainly find them to be better workers.
NJ is a very segregated state where nobody has any illusions about race relations; given the size of the population and density, race-related attacks are fairly rare. People have a sense of which areas and situations to avoid.

Whites are becoming a joke.
Especially on television commercials, when there are blacks and whites on the same commercials. The whites are always portrayed as the idiots, lower status, doofuses, etc, And the blacks always have the right answers, are the professionals, and have perfect families. To show it the other way on commercials would be racist.
