From what i remember it was the leg was not ‘locked’, so they may have to fiddle with the locking mechanism.............

It was an off the beaten path show, but I really enjoyed it.
The cast was just right. The story lines were good.
It was a good show.

Yes....I was shaking from excitement and my brain wasn’t processing exactly correctly.
In all honesty, I was screaming at the screen in the last couple of seconds, “Land! LAND!!! STAY UPRIIIIIGHT!!!!”
The neighbors must’ve thought I was going nuts.

SpaceX already has landed on land, but there are reasons to develop the ability to land on a barge. When launching rockets to orbit it is best to launch from west to east so that the speed of the rotation of the Earth helps the rocket reach orbit. Then if you want to go back and land at the launch site, you have to stop forward motion, power back, and power land. This takes a lot of extra fuel.
If you have the ability to land on a barge you can position the barge in the flight path of the rocket, and the only extra fuel is to land on the barge. This allows the rocket to carry more payload.

"Well, technically they landed on the barge last time.......till it fell over..............."Reminds me of my wedding night.

I absolutely loved the pilot movie.
Saw it 5 times (IIRC) at the theater.
It was just plain fun.
(didn't care as much for the second year)

This is a great achievement. This is probably the most technically complex launch since Apollo.
This week also has the launch of a Bigelow space station module, which can dramatically lower costs of space habitats. This year has seen SpaceX land twice, Blue Origin resuse a launcher three times, and Bigelow getting back to space. This is the best space year since Apollo.

Thanks for the mention.
I don’t remember year to year.

Never worried about Twiki.
Now Dr Theopoplis...
On another note.
I wonder who designed Twiki
And what gender were they?
Batteries not included.

“They wouldnt be doing this without got money”
God knows we’ve thrown a lot more money down the toilet and got less than nothing back. Exhibit 1: “The War On Poverty”.
At least the US is #1 in space again. If they can get this launch system working like clockwork and “in production”, they just put entire countries out of the space business.
Someone was asking “why the barge”. It’s a safety issue. If the thing went off course a lot and crashed on land...”it might be bad”.

I saw her at DragonCon a few times several years ago.
She was always super nice. Me and my wife talked to her a few minutes after some panels.
