The backlash against North Carolinas law banning anti-discrimination ordinances kept going unabated Friday, as Bruce Springsteen announced that he was canceling a weekend show in the state in solidarity with those protesting the bill.
Springsteen and the E Street Band were scheduled to perform at the Greensboro Coliseum on Sunday night as part of their current tour, which continues in the United States this month and heads to Europe in May.
On Friday afternoon, Springsteen released a statement saying that he could no longer play the show.

The left won’t be happy until our entire culture is perverted.
Satan leads them around by the nose, always standing for wrong or a lesser good...and yet full of pride about it.
Not a fan of Springsteen.....7 - 11 music....seven words repeated 11 times.

many of us loath him as well
therapy aint gonna fix that
Manfred Mann covered “Blinded by the Light,” but Springsteen wrote the song. That I happen to prefer Mann’s cover to the E Street original is simply a matter of personal taste :-)
Or maybe his is as queer as a three-dollar bill, not to be confused with Six-Dollah Bill, our first black president.
Remember when liberals used to say “get the U.S. out of my uterus”?
GET YOUR UTERUS OUT OF MY URINAL!!!
His band sucks too - every song sounds the same with a crappy keyboard backing and mediocre sax solos. Lame.
No one will notice he canceled.
Oh! Yet another benefit to NC! Many of this ilk will go elsewhere. Good news for the purity of the youth of the state.
He always sounds constipated when he “sings”.
I bet he has no trouble playing anywhere else like here with communist supporters:
Bruce Springsteen hailed by Castros media (for his tribute to a Chilean Stalinist)

I prefer Manfred Mann’s version too, though it may be because that’s the version I’ve heard all my life. I think i’ve heard Bruce’s version once and didn’t care for it.
I always thought Springsteen was boring and overrated but I admit that I love his song “The River”.
Can’t stand him personally, though.
Springsteen is a long time leftist whack-job. He’s hosted fund raisers for Obama. He needs to keep his ass far away from the Tar Heel state. No one cares about this over-the-hill barroom beller. It’s nice to see states taking a stand against the immorality all around us. Anyone that thinks it OK for a drag queen to use a woman’s bathroom needs to have their head examined.
I thought the lyrics were worth posting. I suppose I could’ve just figured out where to put repeat, but copy/paste was easier :)
I used to think it was “some silicone sister with her mannequin mister”
It’s funny how lyrics get misinterpreted.
Shut up and sing, Bruce.
You are lucky anyone wanted to even hear your old, off-key screeching voice anyway.
“...funny how lyrics get misinterpreted...”
Indeed... it’s also funny how your ear, at 14 or 15 yrs old (when the song came out, for me) hears something COMPLETELY different than if you were to hear it, say, at 40 or 50.
For a laugh, look up “Misheard Lyrics - O Fortuna” on Youtube. It is very funny.
The song is from Carl Orff’s opera “Carmina Burana” and it’s in Latin. But the video has completely different words. Very funny.
Getting attention for this is far more important to him than fulfilling his promises and commitments.
That is the shallowness of a narcissist.
It’s not an opera, it’s a cantata. :)
