The Paid DC Shills Continue – Erick Erickson Now Attacks Paul Ryan Primary Opponent…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 4-07-2016 | Sundance

Posted on 04/07/2016 7:25:14 PM PDT by BAW

It’s predictable; it’s transparent (if you dig into it); and yet it remains as one of the most undiscussed aspects to the current political climate:

Multi-media political pundits, including big name National Radio Talk Show Hosts, being paid by DC operatives, Super-PACs, and Campaigns to protect the establishment figures.

They hide, at least they try to, behind layers of constructed LLC’s intended to protect them from sunlight. They also rely upon delays in legally required reporting timeframes to carry out their goals and avoid discovery until after they have been successful in their efforts.

Another example surfaces today. Erick Erickson’s new faux-conservative media enterprise “Resurgent” launches a defense of House Speaker Paul ‘Omnibus’ Ryan, with an opposition research effort against Ryan’s opponent, businessman Paul Nehlen.

Gee, that didn’t take long.

Erickson formerly of Red State launched Resurgent to provide a new mode of attack against any political insurgent who doesn’t fit the Washington DC approved definitions of “conservatism”. A principle highlighted within his own establishment bona-fides as Erickson proclaimed: “Governor Jeb Bush is the most conservative governor I know“.

Trump’s candidacy has exposed the real positions of many people. He has performed a great service by just doing that.

Rush is more subtle about it but I have no doubt he’s in on the gravy train just like Erickson..

Even my husband who was one of Rush’s most loyal listeners finally saw the light and turned him off.

Erick Erickson is by far one of the more despicable people who claims to be on our side.

I can’t stand him because he hides behind religion to do his dirty work and that’s heinous.

My DH hooked me to him when Slick Willie couldn’t keep his trousers up while in the oo. Since that time, I’ve listened off and on - most often during the election season or a gossipy scandal is in the wings. These days if he is heard it is more for white sound background noise. Some days he is turned off completely. Having often wondered what we would do without Rush, I have come to realize that having Rush is not so great after all. He has taken us down a path we might not have traveled had we walked it alone. Rather than the possibility of his choosing a replacement, now he is seen as ready for retirement. He has been solid in the past, but since marriage he has lost something. Smarts, strategy, wisdom? Sad when an Icon has fallen from his pedestal. Just unable to jump the hurdle with the NBC issue and his solid ‘conservatism’ The mind is just not able to think that way - at least this mind cannot.

I second that! If for no other reason -we’ve a good deal more knowledge because of his opening the curtains. Thank you Mr. Trump!

Nehlen’s chances are far, far below zero. He’s a non-entity in Wisconsin.

Ryan is still very popular in his district.

This is a complete non-starter.

That’s exactly right. When you see or hear their dishonest or disingenuous comments on topics that just require straight answers, you know they’re up to something.

Erickson is trying to build a business without Salem Media since his show is owned by Cox, and I believe he’ll pretty much do whatever it takes not to advance his own cause to the highest bidder or the person that gives him the most return on his investment.

I saw someone on social media asking why his new website, is built & operated by a company that specializes in setting up websites that collect money for candidates (not private businesses). Never answered.

I wrote a song dedicated to one of these guys the other day, to the tune of Little Feat's "Willin'":

I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow
I'm drunk and dirty don't ya know, and I'm still, shillin'
Sittin' at the desk, late at night,
Seen my Cruz through every little fight
Cruz, Lose with Cruz

I've lied from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonapah
Lied with every kind of claim the establishment's made
Assaulted the forums and then ran away

And if you give me whores, cheese, and wine
And you show me a sign
I'll be shillin', and keep lyin'.

Well then, keep voting for the incumbent. I mean, look how well he’s done for America.

Self correction: actually Erickson was defending Levin, not attacking him. My mistake.

What’s Nehlen’s chances of winning?

Don't know. He was recruited by the local Tea Party and is a successful businessman. His issues are spot on conservative. Go check out his campaign site. Remember a lad named Eric Cantor? Canton is gone, gone, gone because of a primary challenger.

EE is a big, fat (pun intended) nothing burger, it’s surprising that anyone even cares what he says or does. He’s in-effective, non-persuasive, an obvious do-it-for-money-conservative. Trumpians need to focus on real voters, the DC crowd is a lost cause, for now. The people sitting in traffic on the Merritt Tpke, the LIE, rte 95 in DE, MD, PA are who we need to be worrying about.

There is NOTHING more conservative than stopping a permanent democrat/marxist voting majority and doing whats best for the people and the country. By virtue of Mr. Trumps position on illegal immigration he Trumps all others conservatism.
