This has been covered ad infinitum. Cruz got his U.S. citizenship in the 1980’s by his mother filing that form (I think it is called CRBA or something) while still in high school so he could attain a U.S. passport to go to Britain with his High School group. He would then still be a Canadian National in Canadian eyes, but would also be a U.S. citizen at that point. I agree he is a U.S. citizen...but he is NOT natural born as alluded to in the Constitution as being a requirement for Prez and V.P., and cannot run for President. AND he knows it, when he is always touting his Constitutional prowess, and is trying to pull an “Obama”.

So why won’t Ted release his CRBA? No big deal, right?

Ted’s status has not been covered at all though it should be.

" I agree he is a U.S. citizen...but he is NOT natural born..."

Also a different issue than the one I responded to. What I responded to was a sentence that very clearly said that Cruz somehow couldn't be a US citizen because *Canada* didn't allow dual citizenship.

If Cruz needed a passport to go to Britain, as a Canadian citizen, he would have no trouble.
