On March 10, Attorney Stephen Pidgeon, lead counsel for the North American Law Center sent a letter to Texas Secretary of State Carlos H. Cascos on behalf of a legal citizen and voter in Texas, as well as in the public interest of the nation, questioning if, when Cruz ran for, was elected and certified by the Texas Secretary of State as the new U.S. Senator representing the people of Texas, he was a legal citizen of Canada.

As of this writing, Pidgeon has not received a response.

Ted Cruz

Attached to his letter, Pidgeon provided a copy of Cruz's birth certificate indicating Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He also attached a copy of Cruz's Certificate of Renunciation of Canadian Citizenship, whereas Cruz "formally renounced Canadian citizenship and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on May 14, 2014."

When Cruz was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship, indicating Cruz was only a citizen of Canada.

I’ve wondered, since....as I volunteered and helped raise money for cRuz’s Senate run, what he disclosed on his TX Senate application, for his citizenship.

This is exactly why the establishment is pushing for a contested convention. They do not want Trump because he is not beholden to their elite power structure and Cruz is their ticket to put in whomever they want and Cruz cannot contest it because the laws are clear, he entered the US at the age of 4 as a “non-quota” immigrant and only AFTER being in the US for the required number of years during the required age limits, was Cruz’s US citizenship perfected... that date being May 14, 2014.

Whether he was a citizen of the US is a matter for US law, not Canadian law

And US law says that Cruz is a naturalized citizen per the Immigration & Nationality Acts of 1952 & 1965.

“Having extensively reviewed all articles cited in this opinion, as well as many others, this Court holds, consistent with the common law precedent and statutory history, that a ‘natural born citizen’ includes any person who is a United States citizen from birth,” wrote Judge Dan Pellegrini in a written opinion issued after denied the petition at a hearing Thursday.

What’s interesting about this is that they are not so much asking about NBC, they are addressing whether he’s even a citizen. It’s different from the PA case.

Trump has to grow up and get to policy and stop focusing on Cruz. The “nobody can stand Cruz” line failed to knock him out. The “Cruz is Canadian” failed to knock him out. The gee I got my arse kicked in Wisconsin/how dare they vote for “Lyin Ted” lack of class concession non-concession in the face of a loss failed to knock Cruz out. The “Cruz’s wife is fugly” failed to knock Cruz out. The “Cruz is banging everything that moves” (mostly cause nobody could picture it) failed to knock Cruz out.

Most of all washing rinsing and repeating the above will fail to knock Cruz out.

Trump, imho, should start acting like the damn front runner and engaging the real enemy. Stop the stream of conciousness drivel and develop some damn political discipline. He might be an outsider but he is now a politician. His three year old tantrum tactics vis-a-vis Cruz only legitimizes Cruz and makes it seem that Trump lacks substance. Time for Trump to march to the beat of “Hail to the Chief” instead of the theme of Seseme Street.

This has nothing to do with Trump. Hello. It’s a case from someone else. You sound like the blame bush people.

He has a Canadian birth certificate for Petes sake.

Cruz is not eligible.

Why do people think the dems went to such trouble to make people believe Obama was born in Hawaii?

They did that because they knew he needed it to be eligible.

Otherwise they would not have cared about it.

“It’s entirely possible since renouncing his Canadian citizenship in 2014 Cruz does not hold any citizenship.”

No surprise here. Sen Ted seems to find ignoring his much loved “Constitution” is a rule of the game played by congress critters. Bitter? Yes, that could be. Bitter that he lied from beginning to his end. Spill the beans Sen Ted as to what part of the law you plan to ignore next.
What a hypocrite.

“Common Law” backs a hell of a lot more of our unalienable rights that statute does...

The big question is why did Cruz feel it necessary not to renounce his Canadian citizenship BEFORE he ran for senate.

I know he says he didn’t know. If that’s the case maybe he should have spent a little more time studying his own geneology than the constitution of a country where he was not a citizen.

Cruz is not eligible.

So the 5 or 6 court cases which have approved his citizenship status are wrong, and you are right?

That's pretty damn funny.
