Many Syrians already living in Germany are in favor of an upper limit on the number of refugees allowed into the country, a new survey of their attitudes has showed.

Around half of the 500 Syrians living in Germany who were surveyed told researchers from the University of Münster that there should be a fixed maximum number of people the country takes in. […]

… 71 percent of those surveyed thought that most of those who had arrived in Germany as refugees would return to Syria once the civil war there is over. […] 46 percent said they were concerned that there might be terrorists among the new arrivals. …

Yes, but ‘men’ here are protesting:

Men walk mile in high heels to draw attention to sexual assault

Kelly White Daily Southtown CHICAGO

Brandon Swanson usually wears loafers when he works as assistant director of alumni and parent relations at Saint Xavier University.

But last week, the 22-year-old Oak Lawn man carefully strutted a mile in red high heels around the campus at 3700 W. 103rd St. in Chicago.

Swanson joined more than 30 other men for the second annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march, an event to draw attention to Sexual Assault Awareness month.

“This is a very fun, yet impactful event,” Swanson said. “The event is aimed at raising awareness about rape, sexual assault, and gender violence. This is something I think is extremely important. Too much of this violence goes on every day and there are people who are affected by this horrible injustice every day. And unfortunately, many women are too afraid to speak up. We want them all to know that they have a support system and to let them know they have someone to turn to.”

Anna Goldman, the event’s coordinator and a senior psychology major at the school, said she wanted the march to help the campus highlight gender relations and sexual violence against women.

“The goal of this event is to educate men and women about the prevalence of sexual violence on college campuses,” said Goldman, 22, of Eagan, Minn. “While we asked men to walk in high-heeled shoes to achieve the effect of literally putting themselves in women’s shoes, all were invited to walk and to join the conversation about sexual assault and violence. Not many people can digest difficult topics of discussion, but with Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, it allows for people to find a community, in a playful manner, to talk about the effects and solutions of sexualized violence against women.”

Some shoes came from donations and the Saint Xavier Council. Goldman said she also bought some shoes from a shoe store on Amazon that sells red high-heels that are intended for wide-set and large feet.

Bizarre: Syrians in Germany decide Germany’s immigration policy.

German men are extinct.

Welfare can be an even more powerful lure than jihad, and there's only so much free stuff available.

Pull up the gangplank! The boat is full! By the grace of Allah, may your return swim to Syria be blessed by the prophet!

Not much different than what happens after flight from our cities to the suburbs.

"a new survey of their attitudes"

Why would anyone give a damn what their attitudes are?

Germans have no real grasp of the situation (I know because I live here).

I’ve talked to a couple of the Syrian guys and most aren’t that happy with Germany but consider it a very safe place while they wait out the civil war. Most indicate to me that they’d prefer to return to Syria. The younger crowd are more positive about staying in Germany than returning.

The thing is....of the 1.1 million that came into Germany last year as refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants....forty percent were Iraqi/Syrians and connected to the civil war. The rest of the 1.1 million are from forty-odd countries and a totally different case.

What the bureaucrats are fearful about....beyond the Muslim business, cost of this whole thing, and lack of integration....is that within twenty-five years without immigration occurring....the current population of eighty-one million will go down to something like 67-million. They simply aren’t producing kids. So long term, there’s a big problem....but what kind of immigrants do you want and how much of a cost are you willing to accept?

Me personally? Not a single one. Their views on democracy, women, gays, etc. are abhorrent to me.

Merkel & Friends had to know this ahead of time ... and did it anyway. Why? Threatened or bribed. I will never believe it was an honest decision made with the purest of intents.

Take the same poll of Mexicans living in the USA and the result would be “we’ll confine ourselves to Wall to Wall”
