It doesn’t matter, which. Hillary will beat either of them easily.
Vote for Cruz to ensure President Hillary.
...and zero chance of being elected.
“Maybe Ted Cruz is the most wonderful human being in the world when he’s in the backyard throwing a baseball with his next-door neighbors and barbecuing, but he is not though on TV a likable guy,”
At least according to his Princeton ex-roommate, he is not the most wonderful human being in the world when you know him personally; that ex-roommate despised and despises him based on his personality. And, so far there’s only one U.S. Senator who seems to actually like him after working with him for three years. Doesn’t say much about ‘likeability,’ does it?
Yes, that's exactly what they aim to do. The more people understand that this is the intent, the better it can be fought. Here it is loud and clear:
The GOPe does not want to win. They want to consolidate their power and position within the DC establishment, and they cannot do that as long as a bunch of troublemakers are saying nasty things and picking fights with the Democrats. Driving the troublemakers from the party—conservatives politicians, Trump and Cruz followers—is the number one priority. With them gone, the GOPe goes back to being handsomely rewarded as the reliable opposition to the Democrats in the DC establishment which helps to sell to the public that the move toward bigger and bigger government is a battle rather than a fait accompli.
I wish the GOPe had this much energy against Obama like they do Trump....
In Southern California in the 1950’s and ‘60’s the term “greaser” was applied by Surfers to anyone who used copious amounts of Brylcreem or other hair ointments. Race had nothing to do with it.
Ditto. The Trump/Cruz debate here has devolved horribly and become a street fight with words on a screen that would never be used in person.
The gop-e is like the local teams who play the Harlem Globetrotters. Shills...Kabuki theater actors.
If Paul Ryan were to be the nominee then the Republicans will go down to defeat. Ryan could not win and any new voters Trump has brought to the table will either stay home or vote for the lessor parties on the ballot.
That just might be the final nail to completely fracture and destroy the party once and for all.
The certainty of a Democrat victory and a plummet of America into the pit of Socialism.
I didn’t even know that term! I remember it as a term like “hood” from the ‘50s/’60s. Fonzie was a “greaser”.
I’m glad I learned something today! Thanks.
Losing the presidential election was the GOP plan all along. Jeb was the designated loser.
Well that’s an easy bet because Cruz will not be President under any circumstances. If the sex scandal doesn’t kill his chances, the DNC wil file a legal challenge to his eligibility and all it takes is one federal court judge willing to say that it has merit. I’ve read that they have dozens of judges already lined up.
GOP establishment don’t care of Judges appointment or anything else. They want to preserve their own Congress and Senate seats.
If I want to know what is going to happen in the future I will go to a medium...
There are 769 Delegates remaining in the upcoming primary states. In order to get to the magic number of 1237:
Donald Trump needs 479 to clinch. (758 current + 479 need = 1237 goal)
Ted Cruz needs 732 to clinch. (505 current + 732 need = 1237 goal).
There are only 769 Delegates remaining.
The GOP legislators, like their DEM brethren, prefer that courts make the decisions. This is accountability-avoidance 101.
Yes, I’ve called them the Republican Washington Generals to the Democrat Harlem Globetrotters.
“One thing Trump and Cruz agree on is that they will both work to keep rule 40 in place, limiting the choices to (if Cruz wins two more majorities) those two only.”
And if Cruz doesn’t win 2 more he’ll be for changing the rule.
