Not Paul Ryan??
Shucks ...LOLO
Yuge!
DARN that Ted Cruz LOLO
It had better not be the son-of-a-mailman.
I don’t get it. In the past he said that the rule 40, and all rules were only for the 2012 convention, and didn’t carry forward to this years convention. Now he is saying there is this rule about nominees having to have support in a certain number of states?? Is he talking out of both sides of his mouth??? Did he change his mind about rules carrying forward???, what the heck???
I watched the interview on Hannity where he said this. Hannity was pressing him to say it would only be Trump or Cruz. Priebus tired to make the point that he was including Kasich because he was still running, and Priebus didn’t want to exclude him which would seem biased.
Gateway Pundit has the full conversation, where Priebus all but came out and said it would be Kasich.
“Priebus: Im saying its going to be one of the three people running.
Hannity: How can Kasich get there without leapfrogging over people that have millions of more votes and more delegates?
Priebus: Youre going to have to ask John Kasich. But Im not going to something thats goint to be an affront right now to John Kasich.”
So now we know why Kasich is still running.
Right.
That's what makes his assurances suspicious.
It should only be one of two candidates still running. Kasich shouldn’t count.
From a business perspective, the media are drooling for a contested convention.
All three candidates should continue to look as presidential as possible and stop slinging mud. They’ll all have to work together eventually for the good of the party and the election, or we’ll get Hillary and Bernie. When a candidate loses, he should do it with grace and style and move on to the next battle. Second point, this push to recruit delegates and eat a a ground game in each state in a fight to influence delegates is very wearing to me. I don’t have the time, inclination or spirit to get involved with all that. I voting in the April 26 PA primary and that’s all I can do.
Then there’s this: The rules could be written to allow the delegates to vote to unbind themselves on the first ballot if they wish, meaning Trump could lose even if he gets to 1237 delegates.
Priebus: 'The party is choosing a nominee' |

"By the way, this is a nomination for the Republican Party," Priebus told 620 WTMJ in Wisconsin. "If you don't like the party, then sit down. The party is choosing a nominee." |
Eff rinse and the gopE.
One would expect the RNC leadership to ask for what’s obviously needed to beat Hillary: Trump and Cruz unity.
It’s not perfect, but it’s necessary to win.
They both have strengths that need to be brought together. Let the voters decide who is #1, but meanwhile agree to:
- give the loser the VP
- give the winner your delegates
- state that the differences were media-induced
- meet and get agreement on key issues
(If you say, “Trump will never consent to being VP”, what does that tell you?)
...Before the party self-destructs and gives it to Hillary.
100% agree.
Trump & Cruz should get their delegates to support Rule #40
I think it would be highly unlikely if it's not. You know, that -- I can tell you that. I think it would somewhat very unusual. But you know, I can't 100 percent guarantee that. But I can't imagine right now sitting here believing it would be anyone but the three remaining candidates.
Whom ever receives the most delegates should get the nomination. If someone else gets the nom I’ll be sitting out this election for the first time in my life. It won’t matter if Clinton wins at that point, the country is already gone . The only hope is to let it burn so something new can take its place or it’s a boot stomping on a human face forever
