When Cruz is mathematically eliminated in two weeks will that be a stunning blow as well?
Nope. They will encourage him to keep on running.
If you want to talk math, the goal here is not for Cruz to get 1237, but to prevent Trump from getting 1237. That's the math that counts. After that, it's the second ballot that counts.
Side note - isn't this mathematical response an example of "Cruz can't win, give up" propaganda? But why expect consistency from Trump supporters - too late to start that now!
Well, since math is on everyone’s mind these days, the fact is that Trump will also likely be mathematically eliminated in a few weeks after Cruz’s ‘elimination’.
I think we can safely say, both our candidates (I’m a Cruzer) will not get the 1237 needed prior to the convention.
I’m ready for multiple ballots - are you?
When Trump is mathematically eliminated by the end of May, THAT will be a stunning blow.
Cruz will not be mathematically eliminated until and unless Trump gets to 1237. There are hundreds of delegates Cruz could pick up from other non-Trump delegates and unbound delegates to get Cruz to 1237.
If Cruz losing the entirety of the south is not a “stunning blow”, then how can this be?
No, because we are going all the way to the convention and win! Get used to saying “President Cruz”
No. Because math means nothing to ideologues, for better or for worse. Cruz is a dead end.
No more so than it will be for Trump when he is mathematically eliminated the first week of June.
