I don’t trust exit polls.

When I voted in Illinois, there was a guy standing outside the polling place with a clipboard. I avoided him when I voted.

Wife went about an hour later, and said the guy got her on the way out. Asked who she voted for, and she said Trump. He asked her LOUD enough for others to hear (some were standing around ready to answer his questions), something akin to “given Trump’s view towards women and the violence that occurs at his rallies, will you still support Trump in the primary?”

This was meant to shame my wife, and to put anyone on notice around the guy, that if they mentioned Trump, they too would be shamed.

She walked away from the guy, but he continued on, asking her loaded questions for about 20’, to which she did not reply.

As she left the lot, she felt like running his ass over.

Here in Illinois, THAT is exit polling. It’s meant not to actually take a poll, but to influence voters going into the polling place, and to report smarmy numbers to suppress the vote on the afternoon news.

You can’t campaign within 50’ of a polling place here, but you can “exit poll” right at the door.

Pretty sure (not 100% sure) that those GOP numbers were in relation to Evangelical Voters.

Trump was leading in Independent Voters.
