Fire has also been destructive down through history.
Cars have killed a lot of people.
Anything can be dangerous.
Solar, like anything else, is just a tool.

I am not aware of any birds, etc. being harmed by solar panels covering home rooftops.

When price and efficiency reach the so-called “grid parity”, it makes sense to do solar for economic reasons.

But even with solar costing more, when installed residentially, it provides personal energy independence by allowing you to go off the grid.

Hundreds of millions of American are relying 100% on a fragile infrastructure of 3-day distribution channels for food, an electrical grid that is vulnerable to natural disasters and terrorist attacks, and oil supplies that are completely at the mercy of global markets. These people are also 100% dependent on the government in the event of a disaster.

Those who are self-sufficient with regards to food, energy, and personal security (mainly via gun ownership) are a benefit to society by having more resiliency, in the event of a catastrophe, and less dependency on the government.
