Trump did not designate himself as the representative of the “body of Christ” as a campaign pitch. If Ted made voting for him a statement of theological significance (and he did), 1John 4:1 exhorts Christians to “test the spirits” of anyone who claims to bring a word from God. IOW he invited voters to inquire into his life to see if it lines up with his proclamations.
