Concerns About Paul Ryan Emerging Out of Ted Cruz-Created Contested Convention
Brietbart News ^ | April 2, 2016 | Julia Hahn

In recent weeks, there has been increasing discussion about the possibility that House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56% could emerge out of a brokered convention as the Republican nominee if the donor class is successful in denying Donald Trump the requisite 1,237 delegates.

Just as Paul Ryan’s ascension to House Speaker represented a total repudiation of the GOP electorate by GOP lawmakers, Ryan’s selection as the Party’s nominee would similarly represent the donor class’s silencing of voters and voters’ views on immigration, trade, and foreign policy that have transformed the country and its role in the world.

[...]

Although Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97%’s political ideology is in line with Ryan’s brand of Washington think-tank conservatism—whether it’s Cruz’s record of pushing for expanded foreign worker programs or offshoring trade policies—party leaders seem to prefer Paul Ryan’s presentation, and are likely to use Cruz’s gains to ultimately throw delegates towards Ryan. The media is correct in that voters are currently facing an election between Trump and anti-Trump, but the media has failed to articulate the policies differences between them.

Cruz is in this for a brokered convention for either an attempted steal of the Presidency with less votes or will accept a Paul Ryan.

Remember Cruz is A Goldman Sachs proxy, so though he is a narcicist and thinks his connections will help him at a convention, the truth is he has no friends but someone will pay Cruz off and make Cruz the spoiler rich.

Ask yourself, would Cruz be on the side of do business as usual of the Washington cartel/Paul Ryan he campaigned endlessly against ...
OR do you see him being a Tea Party kind of guy siding with Trump if Donald has more of the votes and delegates?
I don’t see that kind of loyalty toward Tea Party principles in Ted, I just see a LUST for power at all costs using every means possible.

So to me, Cruz wants to be a spoiler the same way he was with Carson in Iowa. It’s about Ted, Goldman Sachs and the Ted Cruz narcissism, I don’t see Ted after his bad campaign behavior being the honorable guy to stand with the people of he comes up short and the GOPe try’s to take the nomination from both.
Follow the money, Cruz will get paid off in some way for being the spoiler.

Trump, I would not blame him for running Third Party if the F him and God help all in Washington if he wins in that situation.

1# Ted can only get the nomination at a ‘Brokered’ convention. 2# At the ‘Brokered’ convention, the GOPe will never give the nomination to Cruz. 3# Therefore a vote for Cruz, is a vote for the GOPe.

Your leaps in logic are befuddling.

He simply has been unable to convince enough republicans to vote for him.”

That is true because many Republicans want a GOPe candidate and do not want to rock their elite boats. They know that Cruz is safe because he is GOPe.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but all available evidence says otherwise.

Exactly. Former Bush admin official Ted Cruz was NEVER anti-Establishment until it was politically expedient for him. Like a lot of other bought and paid for career politicians he surfed the TEA movement to advance his career. It’s not difficult to connect the dots but I guess some loving eyes can never see.

Why would Trump supporter forsake him. The reason is because he looks like a loser! I have been in trumps corner But we need another option ready to keep them from picking Ryan or someone from the rino wing. Don’t forget Trump supports touch back amnesty.

They would never nominate a person more like the peole voting after stealing it from the candidate of the people. Not happening.

GOPe nominates GOPe in disguise at most.

GOPe thinking: “Romney Ryan didn’t quite work out in 2012. You know what will be great in 2016? Ryan Romney!”

Not too long ago Cruz was a pariah to the same GOPe establishment that now "embraces" him. Surely, he's not so naive that he doesn't see that he is being used?

Note to the GOPe - If you thought people stayed home when Mittens was the nominee, just go with Ryan and the polls will be deserted!

Cruz needs nearly every available delegate to win with 1,237. He can lose 35 delegates between now and the convention - mathematically impossible.

Cruz is merely there to ensure a contested convention, and for any of his supporters to state otherwise is pure delusion.

Trump needs 1237 to secure the nomination, if he can't get there it goes to an open convention. Those are the rules, we have to live with them.

Are we just supposed to ignore the rules because the Trump supporters don't like them? If that's the case, Trump should just be given the Presidency. Why bother with that pesky general election?

If Paul had run on a platform of how he really feels:

All citizens who paid into the Social Security Trust Fund (that Congress has raided and spent every dime of) - would be disavowed of their last lame belief that they are owed something back. Social Security in Ryan’s world will be a welfare system for the same people who receive all the other goodies: primarily democrat base voters.

Trade ‘deals’ will be negotiated by Congress - by elite congressmen who make ‘speeches’ and sell their autobiographies to lobbyists for TOP DOLLAR. (oh, and eff the working class)

Borders will NEVER be secured as long as the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS is willing to BUY the ‘speeches’ of Congressmen.

And last but not least, Paul Ryan is pushing a bill that mandates ‘speeches’ to lobbyist to be at least one minute long - - in case the public starts seeing ‘speeches’ as bribes...

Run on YOUR truth Paul Ryan...

This "Ted Cruz setting up Paul Ryan as the Presidential nominee" is nothing more than an unfounded Conspiracy Theory.

Please ignore the sudden embrace of Cruz by Jeb Bush , Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney.

Ok, so when Cruz is mathematicall out, does he pledge to Trump or to the GOPe? Because we all know there is no way the GOP nominated Cruz.

So Cruz could be in a position to either stop the GOPe or Trump.
Backs Trump and he is more likely the real deal.
If after he is mathematically out he stays in to get both he and Trump out, then Ted Cruz is a political dead man walking. MARK MY WORDS

He’ll just go and represent Goldman Sachs in plain view for a living.

One party rule is the Soviet system. You’re not going to get a secure border.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I was convinced of that after watching McAmnesty get nominated in 2008.

We will not be allowed to elect anyone as President who would enforce the laws or secure the border.
