The awfulness seems to be getting worse, especially now that climate change has sped up – sea level rise that was supposed to take centuries has recently been projected as taking just decades. This complicates the already difficult decision of whether to have a kid.

Even if, for sake of argument, sea levels rise and all that, what’s their point?? Seems to me if that happens, that mankind will adapt and move away from the coasts. Some parts of big coastal cities might have to be abandoned. Does that mean that this is the literally the end of the world???

And I don’t really believe in global warming. Just saying, for sake of argument, if the liberals are right, is that really an extinction level event, in and of itself????

Thank you for your always insightful posts. Before I ended up on a fire department, I worked in the lumber industry. There is a lot more standing board feet of lumber in our forests now than there was back then. Because this renewable resource is curently being mismanaged we have been experiencing more dramatic forest fires, which the eco-nuts claim is because of global warming.

But none of this is going to matter in a few decades anyway. Great numbers of young adults in Western civilization are choosing not to have children. Our culture is in trouble. Muslim cultures with an archaic social system are not worrying
about such craziness and are currently reproducing two or three times faster than we are. And we are inviting them to live among us. It is not going to end well.

Do you imagine us Americans migrating up to the northern states and Canada?

Now imagine 100 million Bangladeshis moving to escape flooding, typhoons, and rising salt tables.

Imagine 300 million North Africans moving to escape drought.

Sure Canada and Alaska are “underpopulated.” None of us want to see “North Pakistan.”

Vicious irony: the people who care about the effect of a growing population on the environment are contracepting themselves out of existence while ceding their particular environments to immigrating peoples who don’t care at all.
