I think it is extremely UNWISE to establish the PRECEDENT that a foreign born candidate with dual citizenship is an ACCEPTABLE candidate...We will rue the day that we permitted that to take place.

That's exactly why I oppose the Cubanadian. There's no better reason.

I had argued, rocklobster, that current law equates ‘citizen at birth’ with ‘NBC’. I still believe that.

BUT...that doesn’t mean current law is WISE. It isn’t.

All the legal opinions in the world won’t overcome the fact that allowing a foreign born, dual citizen candidate to run for office is a terribly unwise precedent
