Millions of private individual sent their money to help them.
Hundreds of millions of dollars from special interest was spent.
A young volunteer died in an accident in Iowa while campaigning.
All this time, they could have just rounded up a few 2474 people and decided among themselves who will run for president.
That’s amazing.
As I said, the article is only stating the obvious and normal facts. Party conventions pick the nominee. Duh. They've always done so. It's only appeared to not be obvious in recent memory because one candidate usually has it wrapped up long before the convention. But it's not working any differently this year than it did in prior years.
