The EU is mostly about a path that Germany’s Merkel has chosen. If the UK likes that path and being a second-player in the EU chain, then fine.
They might want to put a big inspection and customs facility on the French end of the Chunnel, too.
The EU was a doomed experiment from the get go, at least Britain was smart enough to retain the pound and the right to leave......
