Who Voted for Obama?
- 6% of registered Republicans voted for Obama in 2012.
- More registered Democrats [7%] actually voted for Mitt Romney.
- Women [55%] were more likely to vote for Obama than men [45%].
- 93% of African-Americans voted for Obama. [some of them more than once]
- The next highest ethnic demographic was the Asian population [73%]...
- followed by Hispanics [71%].
- Only 39% of Caucasians/Whites voted for Obama in 2012.
- With the exception of Mormons [78% against] and Protestants [56%], every major religious group in the US preferred Obama.
- People who attend church once per week or more were more likely to vote against Obama in 2012.

It would be one thing if the criticism were directed at the candidate and not the candidate's supporters, but the worst offenders seem to be making it a personal issue with their fellow FReepers. That does their candidate no good at all in the long, or even the medium run. You don't slime people on Monday and then demand that they come around to vote for your candidate on Wednesday, not if you've ever actually done politics outside of a grade school before, but certain folks I thought were above that very obviously are not. That's likely to cost us all in November.

It’s pretty easy:
You either support the Republican, you support the Democrat, or you stay home. Each of us has one vote to use as we choose, everything else including what is said on this forum is speculation that will make one iota’s difference in the outcome.
Part of an election process should be to vet the candidates, which is what is going on. Curtail that process and you risk getting another Obama.
I will support the Republican or best alternative because Hillary or Bernie will wreck what is left of this country.
