Trump has stated previously that the control of education should be sent back to the states. Trumps healthcare plan is on his website. What do you not like about it?
That’s correct...The question wasn’t clear about “federal” government...Trump believes that “state” governments should contro education...He has stated this time and time again...
...and he just said the opposite. Which is the problem I have with Trump-- I just don't know which things he says are spoken out of conviction, and which are just salestalk he will walk away from when he's elected.
Roflmao!!!!! No FReeper would EVER let another FReeper get away with a response like that as a defense. Go read a website..... Sheesh.
Either Trump totally botched the interview entirely or was drunk or high or something, OR.... He really doesn't understand what is going on in Government and does well to fake it.
That was yesterday, Parley, and yesterday’s gone.
Why does Cooper need to lead him into the "correct answer" multiple times? Trump has stated on plenty of other occasions that he thinks big government is the answer; health care, federal lands, tariffs...
Someone should tell Trump that his healthcare plan is on his website, and fill him in on what it is while they're at it.
Trump doesn't have a clue. He hired some people to write some conservative sounding stuff and stick it on his website. He constantly has to walk back his statements when his team brief him, after he has stuck his non-conservative foot in his mouth, on what is conservative and what isn't.
The fact that he opens his mouth and lets it run...without any evident aforethought.
In all too many respects, Mr. Trump is less articulate than GWB.
Thank you for noting Trumpcare Parley Baer.
HEALTHCARE REFORM TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN (check Im not a robot if necessary)
The biggest problem with Obamacare is that the corrupt Washington cartel blatantly ignored that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate healthcare purposes. This is evidenced by the excerpts from Supreme Court case opinions towards the bottom of this post.
What unconstitutional Obamacare has done is to expose all three branches of the federal government as very corrupt.
More specifically, noting that I will gladly vote for Trump for president, my biggest complaint about Trump is that he seems to be oblivious to the federal governments constitutionally limited powers, particularly the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I. Section 8 doesnt mention one word about regulating, taxing and spending for intrastate healthcare purposes. That is what makes Obamacare unconstitutional.
Ive been very concerned about Trump possibly basing Trumpcare on constitutionally nonexistant federal government powers like Obamacare is. But since Ive had a look at Trumpcare page, even though I still question if Trump is aware of Congresss Section 8-limited powers, Trumps uncommon common sense concerning Trumpcare is actually helping to move the feds back into their Section 8-limited power cage imo.
Note the reference to the unconstitutional Obamacare federal healthcare mandate in the material below for example. Since Trump evidenty wants to get rid of the mandate, he is arguably reasonably working Trumpcare within Congresss limited Commerce Clause powers (1.8.3).
From a related thread
With respect to the constitutionality of the Obamacare insurance mandate for example, note the fourth entry in the list below from Paul v. Virginia. In that case, state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that regulating insurance is not within the scope of Congresss Commerce Clause powers (1.8.3), regardless if the parties negotiating the insurance policy are domiciled in different states.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress. [emphases added] - Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. - Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Inspection laws, quarantine laws, health laws of every description [emphasis added], as well as laws for regulating the internal commerce of a state and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c., are component parts of this mass. -Justice Barbour, New York v. Miln., 1837.
4. The issuing of a policy of insurance is not a transaction of commerce within the meaning of the latter of the two clauses, even though the parties be domiciled in different States, but is a simple contract [emphasis added] of indemnity against loss. - Paul v. Virginia, 1869. (The corrupt feds have no Commerce Clause (1.8.3) power to regulate insurance.)
Direct control of medical practice in the states is obviously [emphases added] beyond the power of Congress. - Linder v. United States, 1925.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. ... United States v. Butler, 1936.
Remember in November !
When patriots elect Trump, Cruz, or whatever conservative they elect, they also need to elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the president, but also protect the states from unconstitutional federal government overreach as evidenced by unconstitutional federal healthcare programs, Obamacare for example.
Also, consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices who are clueless about the feds constitutionally limited powers.
Trump is a New Yorker. He thinks the rest of the United States is just an extension of the city.
What did he state tonight?
Cruzettes all cheer when the pathetic media lies.
Thankfully there are people who still care about the truth.
That it shows that his website and the plans listed there are not his plans or his beliefs. Last night, he said that education is a Federal responsibility...one of the top three responsibilities of the Federal government. That is not sending it back to the states.
