Donald Trump: Ted Cruz ‘Bought the Rights’ to Melania’s GQ Photo
Breitbart.com ^ | 27 Mar 2016 | Alex Swoyer

Trump charged about Cruz:

He’s the one that started it. From what I hear, he and his campaign went out and bought the cover shoot. Melania did a cover shoot for GQ, a very strong modeling picture. No big deal. But it was a cover shoot for GQ, a big magazine. And it was, you know, fine and, if from what I hear, he was the one, or his campaign bought the rights and give it to the super PAC. That super PAC is friendly to Ted Cruz. He started it. I didn’t.

Trump was also questioned about a retweet of an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz next to Melania, which Trump posted after blasting Cruz for the ad against Melania.

Well, it was a retweet somebody sent to me. It was a retweet. Look, what he did was far worse. He takes out a thing and sends it to Utah, the voters of Utah. It was a cover shoot. It was, by a big magazine. She was a very, very successful model. Big model. Did lots of shoots, cover shoots. To send it like it was a bad picture was disgusting to me. They make me like the bad guy here. I’m just responding to what he does. I respond. I counter punch. I’m responding to what he does. The press likes to make me the bad guy.

Trump then repeated the allegation that Cruz bought the rights to the G.Q. photo, saying, “He’s the one that started it. He knew about the picture. He may have even bought the rights to the picture, meaning his campaign. The super PAC had it. He’s close to the super PAC. I didn’t start this. He did.”

I don’t understand why somebody thinks this damages Trump. I looked at the pictures and they’re what I would expect from a supermodel spread in a lads mag. It’s not like she did Playboy or Penthouse. And she’s retired, right?

“So he’s a diabolical mastermind? If he’s that clever, maybe we do need him as President.”

Yeah, cause that’s real rocket science there. His affairs are about to be exposed tomorrow, so he releases something he thinks is lurid about Trumps wife.
What a strategist/s

Its as simple as that. The low down cheater just tried to muddy the water, and to try to make it look like enquirer was someone getting revenge.

That’s sounds about right. It sure follows Cruz’s MO.

I've yet to meet a North American advocate on this forum. So why do you spread such misinformation?

Because there are three kinds of Trump supporters on FR. The first are FReepers who like Trump's positions on the issues and believe that he will not be as beholden to the powers-that-be in Washington. I've had many productive discussions with them and have a lot of respect for them. It is partially because of them that I will vote for Trump if he is the nominee, though I don't trust his conversion enough to support him in the primary.

Then there are the paid shills for Trump (hired social-media types). They spread misinformation, distort statements, and otherwise spam FR with constant posts. They are pretty easy to spot (check sign-on dates for most), and just as easy to dismiss.

The third are the evangelical Trumpeters. They are so convinced that Trump is their savior that they can justify anything, no matter how false, vile, or nasty. They post pure bile and emotion, and are a waste of time to debate... as they refuse to do so (even if they were capable of it). You can draw your own conclusions which supporters are which...

ONE THING I KNOW WITH DEAD CERTAINTY:

Trump could have made one phone call today and verified absolutely if anyone bought reprint rights to the photo shoot picture(s). He has the contacts and the authority to request and get the information.

The hard fact that he did not come out today and state for the record “I called XYZ and verified that ABC purchased rights on XX/XX/XXXX” proves beyond any shadow of any doubt that NO ONE DID!

He got caught lying, due to his usual habit of shooting off his mouth first and thinking later.

GQ confirmed it was Jeff Roe Cruz sleazy campaign manager who ordered the pictures. Cruz HAD to know.

I generally don’t buy conspiracies. Even if they conform to what I want to believe.

Nope, not a bit. She’s lovely and classy.

Cruz was ridiculing her. Simple as that. Now, isn’t it a school night? Don’t you have some homework?

Answer the guy Thibodeaux.

How can you think a guy who says he might copulate with a rat (unless the rat is Trump) could be psychotic?

The Enquirer has printed a lot of crap over the years. Occasionally they get something right, but that is the rare exception.

They are one of the reason "Tabloids" are not regarded as very credible.

I’ll ping you when he has his pouty teary eyed press conference. Haven’t seen him and Heidi in public yet either. And Amanda is twittering away merrily.

Amanda is still in love and staking her claim. Heidi is somewhere and can barely stand to look at him.
