This is far worse than beheadings, raping 9-year olds, bombing airports and restaurants, etc. /bs

Tortured? What, having to listen to music from Sesame Street?

Besides noting tattoos or scars as you state, they were more than likely photographed naked to make sure they didn't have any self-inflicted injuries that they could later claim the staff made on them.

.... As mentioned previously ... this is actually a common and necessary practice to document the physical condition that the detainee was in at the time of transfer of custody in the event of accusations made against the US at a later date.

IT CAN’T BE A WAR CRIME IF THE DETAINEES WERE NOT OPERATING AS UNIFORMED COMBATANTS. They’re treated as partisans, and in WW2 were summarily executed upon capture.

"Is the naked photography a form of sexual assault? Yes. It’s a form of sexual humiliation," said Dr Vincent Iacopino, the medical director of Physicians for Human Rights.

Hundreds of former Playboy models are now lawyering up and getting ready to sue the magazine for war crimes!

This story is symptomatic of a civilization that seems intent on committing suicide.

Recently read a book about two SEALs charged by JAG for abusing prisoners in Iraq. They mentioned that prisoners were taught to self-inflict wounds to make such charges. Taking naked photos on processing provides visual proof of the prisoners condition to fore stall exactly such charges.

Can we talk seriously?

All acts of terrorism are war crimes.
And,

No terrorist has any protection
under the Geneva conventions
which define war crimes.

There. That wasn’t hard, was it?

A body with no marks is sent to a detention center, and returns several days later with obviously very painful wounds or scars, attests to only one thing - that the wounds and scars had to have been acquired while in detention. But if there are no new scars and/or wounds, then that helps to destroy the contention that physical torture took place.

Pretty solid evidence of something, one way or the other.

Has the Guardian published any stories about the horror of what these jihadis do? Beheadings, crucifixion, gang rape, sexual slavery, fgm, mass murder, actual torture...

Some human rights campaigners described the act of naked photography on unwilling detainees as a potential war crime.

I WANT NAMES. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE I AM COMING FOR FIRST.

The former or the latter? I'll join you in hitting the former...

Loping folks heads off is a war crime.
Photographing prisoners is not.

I had to put it down in anger three times because their treatment was so outrageous.

After finishing the book, search for the REMF’s name that pushed the travesty.

That will makes you spitting mad.
