As I commented earlier today, this was nothing more than a political stunt hatched between Ted Cruz and Glenn Beck. They were scheming how this would play during the upcoming campaign.

Trump, knowingly or unknowingly, disintegrated the Cruz campaign plan on DAY 1. The GOP was supposed to be talking about accommodating illegals to get the Hispanic vote and Cruz was going to beat everyone to the punch by crowing about his compassion (remember him handing out "TEDdy Bears" at the border to illegals? Get it, TEDdy Bears?).

Then Trump had go to all populist with "Build a Wall" and "get the illegals out" which started a MOVEMENT.

And back in the trunk went those Teddy Bears.

Since we have an abundance of ‘teddy bears’ being discussed, who can tell me where the phrase ‘teddy bear’ came from.

Cruz went back to DC after visiting the border and fought Obama's Dreamers DACA Amnesty. He used the Op at the border to show the bad effects of encouraging amnesty.

I will also add that even a year after Cruz's border visit, Trump thru late July 2015 was for a legalization amnesty without deportations for all the non criminals.
